WHAT THE REVELATION 12 SIGN OF SEPTEMBER 2017 REALLY MEANS!

THE SIGN OF THE WOMAN CLOTHED WITH THE SUN OF SEPTEMBER 2017

The Revelation 12 Sign of the Woman Clothed With the Sun and the Dragon that pursues Her and Her Offspring that is pictured above, as it will appear in September of 2017, is NOT is symbol of the Rapture of the Church because it appears AFTER the Wrath of God begins to be poured out in Revelation - starting with the Sixth Seal in Revelation Chapter 6, and continuing with the Trumpet Judgments in Revelation Chapter 8. It is, rather, meant to be a recollection of the HISTORY of the Church up to these End Times, and to the end of the Great Tribulation. This is made apparent by the fact that Yahshua was born around the time that this Sign appeared in September of 3 BC (Scroll down in this article to locate the illustration of the Woman in September of 3 BC).

Since this Sign appeared at Yahshua's birth, this chapter of Revelation reveals that the Woman Clothed with the Sun or the Virgin Mother of Yahshua that signifies the Jewish roots of the True Church fled into the wilderness or INTO HIDING. This first happened when the Red Dragon representing the Satanic, wicked Governments of the World, along with the Roman Empire/Republic and then the Roman Catholic Church began persecuting and killing Christians that did not follow their way of life or teachings, and it will likely happen again AFTER the Rapture.

In fact, there is a possible fiery red planet in the Sign of Virgo right now that NASA and Google have been trying to hide, and that very well could signify the Red Dragon of Revelation 12 in its modern day context. This is shown in the graphic that the graphic artist Luis Vega created to show this planet that is widely known as Planet X or Nibiru in relation to the Revelation 12 Sign of September 2017:

Mexico's Great Seal Featuring a Brown Eagle

The 1,260 days of the True Church's sojourn in the wilderness began to end when the Reformation started by Martin Luther in 1517 began about 1,260 years later, and the Woman or True Church also found a way to protect herself for a time, times and half a time - which could potentially mean three and a half Jubilees or 350 years in the WILDERNESS that once spanned almost the entire continent of North America. This could well be signified by the TWO wings of the Great Eagles on Mexico's National Seal and the obverse side of the US Great Seal.

Indeed, America became a great haven for Jews, Protestants, and Orthodox Christians to dwell in relative peace with their mutual arch-enemy, the Roman Catholic Church. This happened about 350 years before 1970, the benchmark year when the Christian foundation of America was suddenly under constant siege by the secular cultural establishment and the media. In fact, the first Christian Pilgrims established the Plymouth Colony in what is now Massachusetts in America in 1620, which was exactly 350 years before 1970. Incidentally, a Blood Moon Tetrad on Jewish Feasts occurred around the time Columbus discovered America in 1492, just as a similar Blood Moon Tetrad occurred on Jewish Feasts in 2014 and 2015.

Though the Rapture did not occur in 2017, as the Sign of the Woman Clothed with the Sun that appeared in Virgo on September 23rd seemed to have suggested, it has a secondary application due to the statement in Revelation 12 that the Dragon pursued the Woman and she had to find shelter in the wilderness. Though it applied to Christians with different views than the Roman Catholics in the past, in the future it may signify many lukewarm or apostate believers who believe, but are asleep and are not watching for Yahshua's return,

These once lukewarm believers will be left behind to be refined in the fire of the Great Tribulation. At that time, these beleaguered believers will have to flee into the wilderness and the mountains of the world, and they will be schooled there in the things of God by the 144,000 chosen saints of Israel that will be called to help them. Those that do not find shelter will either die of exposure as God pours out successive levels of His Wrath on this world, or at the hands of the Nephilim hybrid beasts and wicked people under control of the Antichrist. Even those that find adequate places to hide will still likely suffer great hardship and deprivation, and will be refined in the fire of tribulation until they are made perfect in Christ.

Fascinatingly, Mexico's Seal - with the brown eagle wrestling a serpent that it is about to eat - is tied to the Constellation Scorpio, which is to be depicted by the symbol of an Eagle instead of a Scorpion in eternity, and which has Ophiuchus as a decan (i.e. subordinate but related) sign. As shown in the illustration I made below, Ophiuchus signifies Yahshua and His Church as the Strong Man wrestling with, and holding back the evil Serpent connected to Satan and his demons:

Meanwhile, the US Great Seal is also tied to several constellations that have a strong connection to the spread of Christianity and the fate of all believers in the End Times. The Illustration below from my book "The Language of God in Prophecy" shows this correlation, with Aquila the Eagle constellation having a direct tie to the Bald Eagle on the US Great Seal, as well as on Mexico's Great Seal. Note that the constellation called Cygnus the Swan, which is also known as the Great Northern Cross, has a nebula in the swan's tail or head of the Cross that is in the shape of North America, and that is NOT a coincidence, but has great prophetic significance!

As noted in the illustration above, the constellation known as Sagitta the Arrow is identified as Satan's Arrow aimed at America, since America has been invaded by many enemies, and is due to be invaded by armies attached to the United Nations from all over the world. But that is in relation to the Great Tribulation. In the past, Sagitta signified America's might as a Military Super Power, which is signified on the US Great Seal by the bundle of 13 arrows in the Bald Eagle's left talons.

This Great Seal is depicted on the US One Dollar Bill, and it has been tied to the New World Order, the Freemasons, and the Illuminati in modern times. However, these symbols all had a godly Star Gospel connection before the 20th Century, and the Great Seal was designed in the 19th Century. Incidentally, the final design for the Great Seal of the USA was laid out by a man that had NO connection to the Freemasons whatsoever. Furthermore, the Gospel in the Stars was written and given meaning by Yahshua, who created the Universe for Our Heavenly Father in His Preincarnate state.

Besides featuring a majestic Bald Eagle with a 13 star "New Constellation" in the shape of a hexagon or Jewish Star (which is NOT tied to any Pagan deity, but is a symbol for a circular menorah, as shown in the illustration) on the front of the Seal, the Great Seal of the United States also features a 13 tiered Pyramid representing the Six Days of Creation, the Six 1,000-year long Great Days that have passed since the creation of Adam and Eve, and the final 1,000-year Great Day, which is the Millennial Rule of Christ that will fulfill God's Great Sabbath Day of Rest.

As a symbol of the span of God's First Creation, the 13-tiered Pyramid is tied to Christ as the First and the Last and the Beginning and the End. It is also tied to the Great Pyramid and Great Sphinx in Egypt that I believe may have been built by Enoch's descendants before the Great Flood, as the historian Josephs intimated. Though it is a persistent but erroneous rumor, the Giza and Dahshur Pyramids in Egypt were not built by the sons of Cain or the Nephilim. The Nephilim are considered to be human - angel hybrid beings. They are the demons of today masquerading in the guise of aliens. As explained in Genesis 6 and the Book of 1 Enoch, Nephilim demonic spirits are tied to the Serpent seed line that came about when the Fallen Angels married human women from the line of Cain, and evil Nephilim giants were born to them.

The War in Heaven that some believe will happen again before the Second Coming of Christ actually occurred a long time ago. According to the Book of 1 Enoch, Satan and his angels were cast down before the Flood, and the Fallen Angels were then imprisoned in chains in the deepest, darkest bowels of the Earth, along with 90 percent of the evil spirits of the dead Nephilim children of the Fallen Angels. These Nephilim spirits are what we call demons today. But since then, Satan has known that he cannot win against God and His time to reign on Earth in order to destroy humanity is going to be cut short in the future, just as it was at the time of the Flood, when almost all of his serpent-seed Nephilim children were destroyed. However, I want to WARN YOU ALL that there are indications that the Nephilim are slated to return during the Great Tribulation, and they may actually kill people by beheading them in order to drink their blood and eat their flesh - just like the Nephilim before the Flood did. AT CHRIST'S BIRTH IN SEPTEMBER OF 3 BC

Also, Yahshua or Christ was the Man Child, and He was born around the time that the Sign of the Woman Clothed with the Sun appeared on the Feast of Trumpets in September of 3 BC, as it is shown above. In fact, I believe that Yahshua was born on the Day of Atonement, which fell 10 days later. Incidentally, the Day of Atonement is considered by the Jews to be the last day of the year where a person can repent of their sins and seek God's forgiveness so that their name will be written into the Book of Life, which lists the names of all those who will be resurrected to receive everlasting life with God. After Christ was resurrected from the dead, He ascended into Heaven, and He is presently reigning in Heaven, and waiting for His Father's okay to come and rescue His Bride. But the Revelation 12 Sign of September 23rd, 2017 does not say anything specifically about the Rapture. But the Sign that appears on September 20th, 2017 that is revealed by the Christ Angle in the Great Pyramid at Giza and its alignment with three planets - Uranus, Venus and Jupiter, which all have strong ties to Christ and the Bride of Christ - IS tied directly to the Rapture. These planets will form the Christ Angle 3 times in a row, and the Christ Angle marks the birth and resurrection of Christ in the dateline formed by the number of Pyramid Inches at the intersection of the Horizontal "Jubilee" Passage with the Ascending Passage inside the Great Pyramid, as shown in the illustration above.

The alignment with Uranus with its 5 moons signifying the hidden Bride of Christ and 5 Wise Virgins will occur in Pisces signifying the Two Houses of Israel just before dawn, the one with Venus signifying Christ and the Bright and Morning Star will occur in Leo the Lion of Judah signifying Christ as a Conquering King at dawn, and the one with Jupiter signifying Christ as the Suffering Servant of Isaiah 53 will occur just after dawn in Virgo, the Virgin signifying the Wise Virgins of the Church of Philadelphia on that morning. Since the Christ Angle dissects the city of Jerusalem and the town of Bethlehem on an equal projection map, it is tied to Christ's First Advent when He was born in Bethlehem, and to His Second Advent when He will appear on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. Therefore, this triple occurrence of the Christ Angle in the heavens on September 20th, 2017 is surely a herald that the Sign of the Son of Man, which is to appear just before the Rapture, may appear soon as Christ comes to rescue His Bride:

The Sign of the Son of Man is the Sign that is supposed to appear at the time of the RAPTURE, not at the time of the Battle of Armageddon. This is made clear by the references in Matthew Chapter 24 to the false prophets, persecution of the saints, the gathering of the elect from the four winds, or from one end of the Earth to the other by God's holy angels, and the description of one person being taken while the other beside them is left behind. In this regard, it is significant that the Great Pyramid at Giza is tied to the brightest star in Orion's Belt, and the three stars of Orion's Belt are meant to signify the three crosses at Golgotha that were erected at Christ's Crucifixion.

In addition, the immense constellation called Orion signifies Yahshua or Jesus coming in victory at the end of the Age of Grace. The Great Pyramid (which has also been called the Pillar of Enoch) is also filled with hidden symbolism that signifies God's Covenants with mankind through Abraham, Moses, and Christ and His Church, and the end date in the Pyramid's dateline was in June of 2016, which means the Rapture may have been slated to occur then, but it has been delayed, just as Yahshua hinted that it would be. The Great Sphinx at Giza is also tied to Christ and His role as the First and the Last, as shown in the illustration below:

LEO, VIRGO AND AQUARIUS, AND CHRIST AS THE FIRST AND THE LAST

As explained in all four of my Language God Series Books, the Great Sphinx at Giza in Egypt has a human face signifying the Sign of Aquarius, and a Lion's body and tail signifying the Sign of Leo the Lion. The human face is also a woman's face representing Virgo the Virgin, and Leo and Virgo were the first and last signs of the ancient Zodiac or Mazzaroth. This ties it into the appellations of Christ as the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End, and the Aleph and Tav or Alpha and Omega mentioned three times in the Book of Revelation - most significantly in Revelation 22:13.

Since this Sign will occur just before the Feast of Trumpets, it may indicate that the Rapture may occur on the Feast of Trumpets someday, or on or around one of the other Autumn Feasts of Israel. There is also a strong likelihood that the Rapture may occur on the Day of Atonement TEN DAYS LATER. This connection can be made due to the ten days of persecution that the Smyrna branch of the Church (or one of the seven churches in the True Church) is being warned to expect in Revelation 2:9-10, where it says:

“I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. 10 Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.”

So, though the Church of Smyrna (like the Church Of Philadelphia) is physically poor but SPIRITUALLY RICH, it - and very possibly all the other believers in this world that love Christ and are faithful to Him - is slated to suffer great persecution for a short time that could be a literal ten days, or a period of ten years before the Rapture that is promised to the Church of Philadelphia in Revelation 3:9-10:

“Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. 10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.”

Please note that Revelation 3:9 ominously mentions the Synagogue of Satan, just like the message to the Church of Smyrna does in Revelation 2:9. This Satanic congregation refers to Christian-hating, Illuminati inspired Jews and Radical Muslims. But keep in mind that the term "days" in many prophecies can refer to longer periods of time than a literal day, so the idea that Revelation 2:10 is speaking of a literal 10 days of persecution could be incorrect, and it could refer to 10 weeks, or 10 months - although it likely does not mean 10 years since the Great Tribulation is only three and a half  years, which is also a time, times, and half a time.

Because the Sign at dawn on September 20th, 2017 is tied to the Great Pyramid at Giza, and the Great Pyramid is tied to Christ and His Covenant with us, as well as to the New Jerusalem, the Rapture could occur around the Feast of Trumpets or around the Day of Atonement or Yom Kippur, which will begin ten days later, at sunset. In regard to the Day of Atonement, the Rapture represents a closing of the Age of Grace, and the Day of Atonement signifies the closing of God's Book of Life, where the names of all those who are to be saved in eternity are written. Even so, we should all be keeping watch, and praying at all times that we will be ready to go UP, because the Rapture could occur at any time. In fact, I think it has a strong connection to the Feast of Shavuot or Pentecost as well, since Yahshua ascended to heaven ten days before it! Could this be an allusion to the ten days of Christian persecution cited in Revelation Chapter 2?

In closing, let me issue a warning. Though few entertain the thought, there is a very real possibility that the mainstream prophecy teachers are all wrong, and we are already experiencing the ten days or years of persecution cited in Revelation Chapter 2.
I don't know if we are or not, but all the signs that we could be are evident today with the worldwide rise in immorality, wickedness, and idolatry. Nonetheless, I'm NOT saying I'm a prophet, or that is absolutely true. I'm making educated guesses based on Scripture and world events. and I never claimed to be a prophet. However, I have definitely had prophetic revelations on occasion, and I have openly shared them.

YAHSHUA IS THE MEDIATOR OF A NEW COVENANT!

Although some Messianic Jews insist that the Covenant cut with Yahshua’s Blood on the Cross at Golgotha was not a New Covenant but a re-establishment or renewal of the previous Covenant that God cut with Moses, there is indeed an Old and a NEW Covenant, and the spirit behind them both is different. While the Old or first Covenant focused on outward behavior or legalism, which was often merciless and cruel, the second or New Covenant focuses on inward emotional and spiritual behavior, and the true Spirit behind the Law, which is mercy and not sacrifice: 

Hosea 6:6 - “For I desire mercy and not sacrifice, And the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.” Matthew 9:13 - “But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” Matthew 12:7 - “But if you had known what this means, ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the guiltless.” 

The Apostle Paul explained the difference between the Old and New Covenants in this way: 

2 Corinthians 3:5-8 - “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, 6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. 7 But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, 8 how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious?” 

But beyond Paul, Yahshua Himself also had something to say about the Covenant that He would cut with His Blood. He did so through a parable, which indicates that there is a difference between the Old and New Covenants, and established the fact that the Old Covenant was not to be resumed in the New: 

Luke 5:36-38 - “Then He spoke a parable to them: “No one puts a piece from a new garment on an old one; otherwise the new makes a tear, and also the piece that was taken out of the new does not match the old. 37 And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined. 38 But new wine must be put into new wineskins, and both are preserved.” 

Yahshua also called the covenant that is cut with His Blood a New Covenant at the Passover meal that He shared with His disciples just before He was arrested and killed: 

Matthew 26:27-29 - “Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. 29 But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.” 

Because Yahshua was being put to death at the same time that many lambs were being sacrificed in the Temple to Yahweh for the Passover meal, Yahshua is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. (John 1:29). This is why, when the Apostle Paul recalled the last Passover that Yahshua ate, he indicated that our reenactment of Yahshua’s blessing of the bread and the wine at the end of that meal is a symbol of our entrance into a binding Covenant with God that we will be judged by instead of the Law of Moses: 

1 Corinthians 11:24-26 - “and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” 25 In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” 26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes. 27 Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. 28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. 29 For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. 30 For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep. 31 For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged. 32 But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.” 

This teaching shows that there is indeed a New Covenant in which we are responsible for judging ourselves by Yahshua’s teachings so that we will be found blameless, and will not be judged or fall sick. If that wasn’t enough to prove the existence of a New Covenant cut by Yahshua, the following teaching from the Book of Hebrews actually quotes from the Book of Jeremiah 31:31-35 to prove this point: 

Hebrews 8:6-13 - “But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises. 7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second. 8 Because finding fault with them, He says: 

 “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah - 9 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the Lord. 10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 11 None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them. 12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” (Jeremiah 31:31-35) 

 13 In that He says, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.” 

The Book of Hebrews also goes on to say: 

Hebrews 9:11-15 - “But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. 12 Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. 13 For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, 14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? 15 And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.” 

To show the supremacy of this New Covenant over the Old, it is sealed with the power of the Holy Spirit, which was first released in power on the Shavuot or Pentecost after Yahshua’s Firstfruits Resurrection. This was the same day that the Old Testament Law began to be delivered to Moses on Mount Sinai, and this started with the Ten Commandments that were carved into stone to show that they were everlasting commandments, which Yahshua beautifully summarized with His Two Commandments.

But the rest of the commandments were not carved into stone to show that they will one day cease to be important, although they are important now in helping us to define what it means to not covet, lie or commit adultery, among other sins. In order to be able to discern what sin is and is not, however, we need the baptism of the Holy Spirit to make us born again. Without it, we cannot truly follow the Law or discern true right from wrong without our memorization of the entire written Law - and even memorizing it does not ensure that we will keep it all.

This is why Yahshua taught that, in order to enter His Covenant, we must be born again with the Holy Spirit. In this way, we have the Word of God written on our hearts by His own Spirit rather than the written testimony that we have to memorize to remember, as the written testimony is passing away:

John 3:1-6 - “There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. 2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.” 3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” 4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” 5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” 

This is why Yahshua called the Holy Spirit our Helper or Counselor. Not until God’s Spirit indwells us is our one on one relationship with God established: 

John 14:26 - “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” 

Sadly, this direct relationship with God was missing in the Old Covenant because the people were afraid, and preferred to hear from God through Moses rather than face to face (Exodus 20:18-21). Like it was with Moses, our relationship with God is supposed to move past the written Word into a DIRECT DIALOG with God through Yahshua, who sends us His Spirit to make this possible. Once this relationship is established via the Spirit’s entrance into the tabernacle of our hearts, those who are saved and sanctified through their belief in and love for Yahshua will begin to have visions and dreams, and to hear words of knowledge spoken to them directly by the Holy Spirit. Thereafter, the Holy Spirit will always be there to give them the right words to say in every situation as they learn to trust in and rely on Him (Matthew 10:18-20). This is what the Prophet Jeremiah meant when he said: 

Jeremiah 31:33-34 - “But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 34 No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.” 

For this reason, until you are baptized with the Holy Spirit and born again through full belief in Yahshua as the Son of God made flesh who dwelt among us (who is coming again in Glory), you have no part in the New Covenant. Instead, you are still bound to the Old, and are subject to its judgment and condemnation without the Grace offered by Yahshua’s Blood to justify you (Acts 13:37-39, Romans 3:20-24), and without the Spirit of God to help sanctify you and seal you for full redemption in the resurrection (See Ephesians 1:13, Ephesians 4:30).

WHAT COMMANDMENTS MUST BELIEVERS KEEP UNDER THE NEW COVENANT OF GRACE?

Yahshua’s Two Commandments Embody
All of the Ten Commandments

Yahshua or Jesus is the Messiah of Israel, and He was NOT just a great man of God, or an angel, or a prophet! He is God incarnate! He is the WORD OF GOD in the Gospel of John, and the I AM WHO I AM that spoke to Moses from the burning bush in Exodus Chapter 3. He gave the Ten Commandments to Moses and to all believers. His Two Main Commandments are a summary of the Ten Commandments, and both of His Commandments can be found in the Old Testament Books of Deuteronomy and Leviticus, which He dictated to Moses as the Word of God. The following article explains what this means for believers in Christ. 

Please take the time to read this article, and to share it. It is vitally important for believers to know this, and to realize fully that Grace is not a license to sin, nor a cancellation of God's Moral Requirements. Although believers are under a NEW Covenant  through Yahshua, we are forgiven of our past transgressions by Christ only when we fully repent of our sins, let go of our willful ignorance, surrender our lives to Yahweh God and His Son, and allow His Spirit to show us how to please Him.

Though all believers are covered by the gift of God’s Grace or unmerited favor when they sin and seek repentance, and they all have freedom and liberty in Yahshua, who fulfilled the Law for us, there are many statements in the New Testament that indicate that Yahshua expects His followers to keep His Commandments, or His Moral Law. But defining what these Commandments or Moral Laws are can prove to be rather tricky unless we understand the differences between the Mosaic Law and the New Covenant of Grace. Examples of New Covenant admonitions to keep God’s Commandments include the following:

John 14:15-17 - “If you love Me, keep My commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever - 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.”

John 14:21 - “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”

1 John 2:1-6 - “My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ (Yahshua Ha Mashiach) the righteous. 2 And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. 3 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4 He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. 6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.”

1 John 5:1-4 - “Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ (or that Yahshua is the Messiah) is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him. 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. 4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world.”

In analyzing Yahshua’s call to His disciples to keep His Commandments in the Gospel of John,  I found several qualifiers. For example, note that in John 14:15-17, Yahshua promised to send the Holy Spirit as the Helper that His followers need to rely on in order to keep His Commandments. Furthermore, in John 14:21, Yahshua said that He would manifest Himself to those who believe in Him and receive His Spiritual Baptism. This means that they will literally have words of knowledge, visions and dreams that reveal what Yahshua wants from them, which will - by necessity - have to be in full accordance with Scripture.

In the Epistle of 1 John, we are also told to keep Yahshua’s Commandments, but with defining statements as to what this means. For example, in 1 John 2:1-6, we are told that, if we sin, Yahshua is our Advocate before God if we are doing as He asked, and keeping His Commandments. Then, near to the end of that same chapter, we are told that “the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things” (1 John 2:27), and “everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him” (1 John 2:29). In other words, those who are anointed with the oil of the Holy Spirit do not need to be taught how to please God because the Spirit of God abides in them, and teaches them how to be righteous like our Adonai Yahshua!

In 1 John 5:1-4, we are told that keeping God’s commandments is only possible for those who are born of God, which means that they are baptized with the Holy Spirit. To be baptized with, anointed by, or born again of the Holy Spirit, believers must have a working, living love relationship with Yahshua and their fellow believers - as I will show in a moment.

Yahshua and the writers of the New Testament Epistles also make it clear that Yahshua’s Commandments are not the same as the Old Testament Law because Yahshua fulfilled the sacrificial requirements of the Law for all those who believe in Him, are baptized by His Spirit, and follow Him. We therefor are not required to offer blood sacrifices to God, nor to have a dedicated priesthood hierarchy, nor to keep the sabbaths and special feast days as the Jews did. They did so with animal sacrifices and severe restrictions based on traditional interpretations of God's Word, and we do not need to follow their traditions:

Colossians 2:11-17 - “In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, 12 buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. 13 And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, 14 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. 16 So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, 17 which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.”

As the passage from Colossians above shows, the New Testament writers made it known that those under the New Covenant are not obligated to keep the whole Mosaic Law, especially since 80 percent of it revolved around Temple worship and the sacrificial system, which is no longer possible. As the Apostle Paul made clear in Colossians, Chapter 2, all the ritual observances of the Law in regard to ritual clothing, clean and unclean foods, keeping the Sabbath, and the sacrificial and traditional rituals associated with the Feast days are no longer binding on believers. Rather, in Acts we find that the Gentile Believers were not expected to keep the old rituals such as circumcision, but only to observe a few important rules:

Acts 15:22-29 - “Then it pleased the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas, namely, Judas who was also named Barsabas, and Silas, leading men among the brethren. 23 They wrote this letter by them: The apostles, the elders, and the brethren, To the brethren who are of the Gentiles in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia: ‘Greetings. 24 Since we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, saying, “You must be circumcised and keep the law” - to whom we gave no such commandment - 25 it seemed good to us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, 26 men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 27 We have therefore sent Judas and Silas, who will also report the same things by word of mouth. 28 For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things: 29 that you abstain from things offered to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well.’”

These were not the only rules believers had to follow, but were in addition to the rules laid forth by Yahshua Himself. These are to be baptized and to receive the Holy Spirit (John 3:5-8; Acts 2:38-40; Acts, Chapter 8), to love Yahweh God and one another fully (Matthew 22:36-40), and to share bread and wine in Communion to symbolize our death to the love of the world and its lusts, and our desire to love, live for and serve Yahshua and one another (Luke 22:14-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-32; 1 John 2:15-17). To highlight what it means to die to the world and live for God, Yahshua said that there are two Great Commandments that believers under the New Covenant should follow: 

Matthew 22:36-40 - “‘Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?’ 37 Jesus said to him, ‘“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.’”

Yahshua’s Two Commandments are both found in the Torah, or first five books of the Old Testament, and they were given to Moses by Yahshua,  Who is the Word of God, and God Incarnate. Here are links to the Scriptural passages in Deuteronomy and Leviticus that contain Yahshua's Two Commandments: Deuteronomy 6:5 and Leviticus 19:18. Since Christ is the Word of God and I AM WHO I AM, He is the author of these passages in Deuteronomy and Leviticus, and these Two Commandments embody all of the Ten Commandments. In fact, the commandment to love God is covered in more detail by the first five commandments, and the commandment to love one’s neighbor is more fully described by the remaining five. The Apostle Paul, who was a Messianic Jew, reinforced Yahshua’s teaching of the summation of the whole Law in two simple, yet all-encompassing Commandments:

Romans 13:8-11 - “‘Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. 9 For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.’”

In this Scripture, Paul was highlighting the fact that Yahshua’s Commandment to love one another, when carried out to its fullest extant, is the fulfillment of all the moral requirements of the Mosaic Law. The Moral Law of God is the part of the Law that does NOT deal with the priesthood, priestly duties and garments, or the sacrificial system, which were the Laws that were nailed to the Cross and died wth Christ. In fact, through the resurrection of Christ, we all have been resurrected into the freedom we have in Christ. Being dead to the world and alive in Him as all believers are, we have the freedom to celebrate our faith and fellowship in any way that we see fit, so long as we keep God's Moral Law, which deals with how we should treat one another. That is why the verse below applies to all of God's people, whether Jew or Gentile. We all need to KNOW and KEEP God's Moral Law!

~*~ Hosea 4:6 ~*~ 

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

Because you have rejected knowledge,

I also will reject you from being priest for Me;

Because you have forgotten the law of your God,

I also will forget your children.”

There are several places in the Bible that list God's Moral Requirements. The Ten Commandments in Exodus 20, and the Moral Laws in Exodus 21, Exodus 22, and Exodus 23, which was called the Book of the Covenant are essential for believers to know and follow. In addition there are important Moral laws in Leviticus, Chapter 18, Chapter 19 and Chapter 20, and in Deuteronomy 18, Deuteronomy 19, Deuteronomy 21, Deuteronomy 22, and Deuteronomy 23. These summarize the Moral Laws of God, and all believers are required to be aware of, and to keep these laws to the best of their ability.

Of course, Paul also understood that, unless a person loves God thoroughly, and seeks to know Him through His Word in the Bible, they will not be able to keep God's Moral law in order to love their neighbor properly. This is because Yahweh God is the source of all perfect love and holiness. No one understood this better than the Apostle John, who -  in his first epistle - clearly wrote about how our ability to truly love others is perfected in loving God our Father:

1 John 4:7-16 - “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. 13 By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. 15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16 And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.”

A Call To Messianics And Legalists To Embrace The Holy Spirit

Yahshua’s New Covenant Fulfills the Mosaic Covenant!

Of course, the Apostles Paul and John both recognized that the ONLY WAY true believers in Yahshua are able to keep the Commandments of God is by being born again and having a relationship with Yahshua and His indwelling Spirit, which is what the New Covenant was established to do. Yahshua gave the gift of the Spirit not only to the Apostles, but gives it to all believers in Him that are truly ready to repent and turn away from sin. These repentant people want to forsake their prior love of the world in order to follow Yahshua. The indwelling Spirit is what makes the freedom and liberty we have in Christ via His Grace possible, as He instructs us in all truth, and He is the Seal guaranteeing our salvation:

Ephesians 1:13 - “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise...”

Ephesians 4:3 - “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.”

We grieve the Spirit of God whenever we sin by breaking God's Moral Law, which can be found in Exodus, Leviticus, and Deuteronomy. To truly follow God's Moral law, however, we all need the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit to seal us, and to guide us in our spiritual walk with Yahweh God our Father. His Spirit alone should be our Mentor and Guide in keeping the Moral Commandments of God that are important, and in pleasing Yahshua and God the Father:

John 16:5-15 - “But now I go away to Him who sent Me, and none of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’ 6 But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. 7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. 8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10 of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; 11 of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged. 12 I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. 15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.”

As verification that this indwelling presence of the Spirit in power was NOT limited to the Apostles on Pentecost, the Bible declares:

John 7:38-40 - “‘He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’ 39 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.”

This means that only those with faith in Yahshua’s sacrifice, faith in the transformative power of the indwelling presence of the Spirit of God, and faith in their ability to listen to the Spirit and follow its guidance in obedience to Christ are truly keeping the Law or Commandments of God. Indeed, without faith in God the Father and in Yahshua and His Spirit, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6).

As a warning to the saints, if you find that your faith in Yahweh God is constantly wavering, your sin nature is alive and well, and you are filled with doubt and fear, then you are showing all the signs that you are not in fellowship with Yahshua directly through the Holy Spirit. If this describes you, then you need to humbly pray to God the Father and His Son, and ask them to give you the baptism, faith and gifts of the Holy Spirit so that you can know how to please God the Father by dedicating your life to Yahshua, and living your life for Him alone.

Honoring The Book of the Covenant

To summarize what I discovered, the Book of the Covenant is almost completely overlooked by both Messianic Jews and Christians, when it should be well-understood, taught and focused on in every congregation, whether among Jews or Gentiles. Some of you may never have even heard of the Book of the Covenant. I know that I sure didn’t until I ran across it in my detailed studies of the Mosaic Law that I linked to above, and how it relates to the concept of Grace, or God’s unmerited favor.

The Book of the Covenant can be found in Exodus 20:22 through 23:33. It follows and further embellishes God’s holy moral requirements in the Ten Commandments, calls believers in Yahweh to allow the land to rest every seventh year, and implores them to keep three specific Feasts of Israel every year. These are the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Harvest (a.k.a. the Feast of Weeks or Shavuot), and the Feast of Ingathering (a.k.a. the Feast of Tabernacles). Though many Messianics vehemently disagree with me, Christians (a.k.a. Gentile believers) have always been taught to honor these three Feasts in their own simplified, and often touchingly beautiful ways since the Church began to form in the First Century AD.

Here is an excerpt from pages 75 and 76 of my book “The Language of God in Humanity”, which explains the spiritual significance of the Book of the Covenant for all believers: 

“…the Book of the Covenant was delivered to Israel immediately after they were given the Ten Commandments, and the Covenant meal was eaten immediately after the Book of the Covenant was read to the Israelites and they agreed to follow the terms of the Covenant. Therefore, this Covenant Book, with its call to ritual observance of three biblical feasts, and the Ten Commandments were the actual laws of this Covenant. Note also that the Covenant meal was eaten in God’s very presence after the Book of the Covenant was read to the people (Exodus 24:11). Furthermore, this Covenant Book did not include the rest of the Law of Moses as found in the remaining portions of Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.

 This is no accident, but was Yahweh’s way of showing all believers that the Ten Commandments, the Book of the Covenant, and its call to keep three major biblical feast days are important tools  for instructing people in the ways of righteousness. Though they are often unaware of it, Christians partly agree to honor the Book of the Covenant whenever they take Communion because the Last Supper was a Passover meal and the New Covenant meal, and Passover was one of the three feasts targeted as perpetual observances in the Book of the Covenant! However, the Israelites tried to fulfill the moral requirements of God’s Law on their own, while believers have the Holy Spirit to guide them - a gift given on the Pentecost following Yahshua’s ascension into Heaven.
 
The pouring out of the Holy Spirit allows God’s just laws to be truly written on people’s hearts after they repent and are saved. However, this is not done to nullify the Book of the Covenant or the Ten Commandments, but to truly fulfill them in Christ! This means that the first moral laws given as part of the old Covenant should be written on every believer’s heart and kept by all - whether Jew or Gentile. We will further discuss the reason why keeping the Ten Commandments and the three feasts mentioned in the Book of the Covenant are vitally important a bit later. - End of Book Excerpt

Fascinatingly, Gentile believers keep all three of the Feasts of Israel targeted in the Book of the Covenant. They celebrate the Spring Feast of Passover by participating in the Lord's Supper (a.k.a. Communion) regularly and not just in association with Passover Week. They also keep Passover by celebrating Christ's Resurrection from the dead on Easter or Resurrection Sunday, which falls during Passover Week. They also celebrate the Sunday of Pentecost in the late Spring as a special holy day that is seen as the birthday of the Church because the Holy Spirit was released to seal, bless and transform all believers in Christ on that day. In addition, in studying the Book of the Covenant in my aforementioned book, which is available for purchase at Amazon.com and the POEM Ministry web site, I have concluded that the celebration of Thanksgiving Day, and the celebration of Christmas fulfill the requirement to keep the week-long Feast of Tabernacles, also called the Feast of Ingathering or Sukkot. In summary, the three Jewish Feasts targeted in the Book of the Covenant are honored among Gentile believers as shown in the following List: 

THE CHRISTIAN EXPRESSION OF THE THREE COVENANT FEASTS:

1.   The Spring Feast of Unleavened Bread (a.k.a. Passover Week) is kept via the entire week between Palm Sunday and Resurrection Sunday, and in taking Communion

2.   The Late Spring Feast of Shavuot or the Feast of Weeks is kept via Pentecost Sunday, and by becoming born-again by the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit.

3.   The Autumn celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles is kept via Thanksgiving Day, and via the Twelve Days of Christmas falling between December 25th and January 6th. These days correspond to the eight days of Chanukah beginning on Kislev 25.

Although Legalists and Judaizers will find fault in my above conclusions about the faithful Christian keeping of the Jewish Feasts, it is because they are unaware of certain things that only the Holy Spirit can reveal to them, and the Spirit of God cannot do so unless they are born-again. One of these things is that, though it is rarely taught, Chanukah is a week-long feast that has been viewed among Jews as a type of Second Sukkot or Feast of Tabernacles on the Jewish Calendar, and Sukkot is closely related to both Yahshua’s birth, and His Millennial Rule on Earth. Furthermore, Christmas is essentially the Christian celebration of Chanukah, which is directly related to Christ's conception, and His discovery by the Magi in Bethlehem. Therefore, Christians who seek the baptism of the Holy Spirit, teach the Ten Commandments and Christ's Two Commandments as essential truths, and keep the three Church holidays of Easter, Pentecost, and Christmas fulfill the major requirements of the Book of the Covenant without even realizing that they are doing so.

For this reason, Christians should be deeply loved and encouraged by their Messianic Jewish counterparts instead of chastised and condemned, as they so often are by legalists that over-emphasize the Jewish traditions associated with these Feasts, and condemn the Gentile expression of them. But, as I have often taught, this hatred between Messianics and Christians is wrong, and should not be the case. That is what prompted me to write this article, and I hope it will serve to bless and guide all who read it to love one another as Yahshua taught.

There is No Renewed Covenant, but a NEW Covenant:

As believers in Yahshua, we are NOT under a renewed Covenant, but we are all under a NEW Covenant according to the clear teaching of Scripture! You can deny it and try to twist Scripture or ignore the passages that disagree with your opinion, but the prophet Jeremiah, our Messiah and Sun of Righteousness Yahshua, and the Apostle Paul said there is a NEW Covenant! This article shows that, under the New Covenant, all the MORAL LAWS OF GOD ARE STILL IN OPERATION. Only the sacrificial and priestly laws and rituals attached to the temple and feast days were nailed to the Cross with Yahshua. The following Scriptures prove this fact:

Jeremiah 31:31-33 ~ “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a NEW covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— 32 NOT ACCORDING TO THE COVENANT THAT I MADE WITH THEIR FATHERS in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the Lord. 33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”

Matthew 26:28 ~ “For this is My blood of the NEW covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”  

Luke 22:20 ~ “Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the NEW covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.” 

2 Corinthians 3:5-9 ~  “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, 6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of the NEW covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. 7 But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, 8 how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? 9 For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory.” 

Colossians 2:13-15 ~ “And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, 14 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.”
Hebrews 8:6-7 ~ “But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises. 7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second.” 

Hebrews 8:12-13 ~ “For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” 13 In that He says, “A NEW covenant,” HE HAS MADE THE FIRST OBSOLETE. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.” 

Hebrews 9:14-16 ~ “...how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? 15 And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.”

As this article has shown, this New Covenant did not do completely away with the old one, but removed the need for the sacrificial system and the professional priesthood that maintained it. In addition, it added the concept of God's Grace or unmerited favor that is bestowed on all those who love Yahshua or Jesus and follow His Commandments in Spirit and in Truth.
