Although many negative things have
been said about the number 33 in Occult circles, it also happens to be
associated with the little known but joyous Jewish holiday of Lag B’Omer, which
falls on the 33rd day of the counting the Omer, or ripe bushels of harvested
barley. This barley signifies the firstfruits of God’s spiritual harvest. In
the Bible, this Firstfruits harvest signifies the Bride of Christ and Her Five
Wise Virgin Attendants, which are also identified with the Church of Philadelphia
There are 49 days of counting the
Omer, which is correctly counted from the Day of the Firstfruits Offering
during Passover Week to Shavuot or the day of Pentecost. This Year, the day of Firstfruits fell on
Easter or Resurrection Sunday, as it usually does, so the 49th Counting of the
Omer will be on the Sabbath that falls on June 7th, 2014, just before Pentecost falling on Sunday, June 8th, 2014.
Unfortunately, the Jews count the
Omer erroneously from the day after Passover, so Shavuot will come earlier than
Pentecost this year, with Shavuot falling on Wednesday, June 4th, 2014
(beginning on the evening of June 3rd). Likewise, the 33rd day between Easter and Pentecost falls on
Friday, May 23rd, 2014, while the 33rd day between Passover and Shavuot will
fall on Sunday, May 18th, 2014 (beginning the evening of May 17th).
Traditionally, Lag B’Omer is
celebrated with the lighting of bonfires and torches, and also with singing,
feasting and dancing. As such, it is an early Harvest Festival of sorts, which
will be celebrated on the night of Saturday, May 17th this year. Fascinatingly,
the fact that Shavuot falls on a Wednesday is highly prophetic, as I revealed
in my recent article making a case for the possibility that the Rapture could
be this year around Shavuot or Pentecost. If you haven’t read it yet, here is a

The Case For A Mid-Tribulation or Pre-Wrath Rapture
Personally, I feel that, since the
Tribulation is meant to bring in God’s final harvest of saints, which is
associated with the Wheat Harvest, and also with bringing the Jews to the point
where they will repent and accept Yahshua as their Messiah, that God does honor
their conventional choice of Feast days - even if they are not on the correct
day. So Shavuot may have more importance prophetically then Pentecost.
Likewise, Lag B’Omer, which is not connected to any official Christian holiday,
may also have some prophetic significance.
Due to the nature of the celebration
of Lag B’Omer being associated with the lighting of bonfires at night (or in
darkness), it can be allegorically connected to the fires of God’s Judgment
that will cleanse the Earth during the Tribulation, and prepare it for the
coming Millennial Rule of Yahshua. It could also signify an outpouring of the
Holy Spirit, Who appeared as tongues of fire over the heads of the Apostles on
Pentecost or Shavuot. The number 33 also connects Lag B’Omer to the number of
children and grandchildren that Jacob had through Leah, including Judah and his
children (or the Jews), which is revealed in Genesis, Chapter 46. It is also
connected to the number of days before a woman is considered clean after the
circumcision of her newborn male child on the 8th day, as revealed in
Leviticus, Chapter 12. Thirty-three days after this, a woman is considered
ritually clean and can re-enter society.
Fascinatingly, the Woman Clothed
with the Sun in the Book of Revelation, Chapter 12 is seen giving birth to a
male child. This Woman represents Jewish Israel as well as the Bride of Christ, and is connected to the heavenly constellation or sign of Virgo the Virgin.
Meanwhile, the male child signified by the star named Spica or the Branch
signifies Yahshua or Jesus of the Tribe of Judah, and those who love and follow
Him. Literally speaking, this can be interpreted to mean that the Woman
signifies both Houses of Israel, which are being depicted as “unclean” - or not
ready to engage in public life or religious observances - until 33 symbolic
days after the Boy Child, Church or Synagogue are symbolically circumcised to enter into a
Covenant with Yahweh God.
For the Church, this circumcision,
or ritual blood-letting to seal a Covenant with Yahweh God is tied to Yahshua’s
Crucifixion and the act of Communion, which is represented by the Third Cup, or
cup of wine served after the traditional Passover meal is completed. This wine
is served along with the unleavened bread or Matzo, which is broken then and
passed around to all who partake of the Passover meal. Therefore, symbolically
speaking, Lag B’Omer or the 33rd day of counting the Omer signifies the time
when the Jews will become ritually “clean”, which I believe is tied to their
final messianic conversion to belief in Yahshua as their Messiah.
The 33rd day after Passover can also
serve as the beginning of a seven-day watch period before the 40th day of the
counting the Omer, which marks the point when Yahshua our Messiah ascended to
Heaven in mimicry of the coming Rapture. Therefore, could Lag B’Omer also be
seen as a hint that believers in Christ should see the week following it as a
time to watch for Yahshua’s return to retrieve His saints and take them to
Heaven in the Rapture? Could it also serve as a prophetic marker suggesting
that Yahshua will come for His Bride ten days before (or some other symbolic
time period before) Shavuot? Like the torches being carried by the Viking soldiers in the photo shown, could the torches lit on Lag B’Omer symbolize the torches of the Watchmen (and women!) who are watching for Yahshua’s soon return?

Blood Moon over Orion’s Sword that I feel marked the beginning of the
seven-year Tribulation period, and the beginning of Shavuot on June 3rd, 2014.
This may mean that God is planning to change the course of history forever in
the coming weeks. If so, we had best be prepared for the Rapture, as well as
various calamities, which may strike just prior to the Rapture to wake up a
huge chunk of the Church that is still sleeping, and not ready for the Rapture
and Wedding of the Lamb in Heaven.
