TO GET AND STAY SAVED, YOU NEED TO LOVE AND FOLLOW CHRIST!

Romans 5:8-10 ~ “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.”

Contrary to popular belief, there is only ONE WAY to get to Heaven and to avoid Hell, which is where all unrepentant sinners in total rebellion against God's Moral Laws or Commandments will go. To be saved from everlasting torment in Hell, you need to acknowledge that you are a sinner because you have repeatedly broken some or all of God's Moral Laws or Commandments, and you are in need of a Savior and Deliverer to be your Advocate before God when you are judged after death. This is what it means to believe in, or to have faith in Christ. In the act of BELIEF and FAITH, you must recognize your sins, repent of them, and seek Christ's forgiveness and His Spirit to overcome sin, and resist the Devil

Look over the following list of God's Ten Commandments and honestly assess yourself as you do:

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS from Exodus Chapter 20, Verses 2 through 17:
1)     “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me.”
2)     “You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; 5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them.”
3)     “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.”
4)     “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.”
5)     “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.”
6)     “You shall not murder.”
7)     “You shall not commit adultery.”
8)     “You shall not steal.”
9)     “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.”
10)    “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”

If you have ever broken even one of these Commandments in the smallest way, you are guilty of rebellion against God, which is sin, and you are in danger of Hell unless you repent and accept a perfect Advocate to pay the price for your sins. This Advocate must be perfect or without sin in order to pay our blood guilt for our rebellion in full for all time, and must agree to die in our place, because without the shedding of blood, there is NO forgiveness (Hebrews 9:16-28). For this reason, the only Advocate that will do is Yahshua or Jesus, who is the ONLY begotten Son of God, and the only way to Heaven (John 14:6).

Although believers in Christ are not specifically called to follow the Ten Commandments in Exodus 20, or any of God's Moral Laws that are listed in the Torah, we should be familiar with them so we will understand the directions of the Holy Spirit, and be able to tell the difference between truth and heresy.  The Moral Laws of God can be found in Exodus 21, Exodus 22, Exodus 23, Leviticus, Chapter 18, Chapter 19 and Chapter 20, and in Deuteronomy 18, Deuteronomy 19, Deuteronomy 21, Deuteronomy 22, and Deuteronomy 23. These summarize the Moral Laws of God that we are required to be aware of, and to keep - as the Spirit of God will always lead us to do!

Because Yahshua is God's ONLY incarnation as a man, and He never sinned, His blood and body were perfect or without corruption (2 Corinthians 5:21). Furthermore, because Christ first loved mankind before we knew about or loved Him, His perfect Blood was shed so that we could be forgiven and inherit everlasting life (John 3:16-18). This is why we are told in Scripture that there is no other Savior other than Yahshua that will win us God's full forgiveness and pardon (John 14:6; 1 John 2:1-2). This means that NOBODY can get saved from Hell and inherit everlasting life without making, and believing in this admission (John 6:40). So for all the folks out there in the ecumenical movement who want to think that there are many valid paths to Heaven, you better think again.

After our blood guilt for sin is paid by believing in Christ, however, we are called to do our best to live a godly life by following Christ's Commandments. These are His Two Commandments: to Love God and to Love your Neighbor, which summarize the Ten Commandments (Mark 12:28-31) and the Moral Laws against Sexual Immorality that are laid forth in Leviticus, Chapter 18, Chapter 19 and Chapter 20. To do this effectively, however, we need the baptism of the Holy Spirit to be born again, and to be instructed by God's Spirit on how to live righteously.

Attending Church or taking Communion cannot save you. Only Yahshua's shed Blood can save you when you accept it as a covering for your sins. After this, if you are sincere in wanting to love and follow Yahshua, you will receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, through Whom you will be born again spiritually. Only then will you be well and truly saved from Hell. Evidence of being born again can be seen through a gradual change of behavior from wanton sinner to righteous follower of Christ who is not living in rebellion against God. If you are a much better person now than before you were saved, you experience feelings of love, compassion and forgiveness toward others on a regular basis, if Scriptures come to mind when you are seeking answers to your problems, and if you are doing your best to be loving like Christ and confident in your faith in this dark world, then you can be fairly certain that you are born again.

If you are truly born again, you will also find yourself wanting to pray, to read and understand Scripture, and to follow Christ's living example as to how to approach God and how to treat others, and you will repent REGULARLY and remember to ask for forgiveness when you slip up. SOme people who are born again are also called into prophetic ministry, and are given dreams and visions and words of knowledge to share with other believers. If this describes you, then you do NOT have to worry about your salvation! It's guaranteed by the Blood of Yahshua/Jesus when you accept Him as your Savior or Messiah, and you truly do repent and follow Him as described above!

But remember that there is judgment awaiting those who do not live godly lives or repent (i.e. turn away) from their sins and ask God to help them to change. In the meantime, our love for God and one another can cover over a multitude of sins (James 5:20; 1 Peter 4:8), and God's Grace, or unmerited favor, is always available to those who are born again and doing their best to follow God's Commandments.

For those who are born again, the wonderful rewards associated with serving Christ that are hinted at in the Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25:14-30, and the Parable of the Minas in Luke 19:11-27 can NEVER be lost, However, Yahshua and the Apostle Paul warned that one can lose their salvation if they reject Christ and His Gospel after appearing to have received and believed in Him. Those in danger of losing their salvation, (or of never having been saved at all, and therefore subject to destruction) will show no self control, but will wantonly continue to sin after accepting Christ as their Savior:

Mark 8:38 ~ Yahshua Said: “For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.” 

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 ~ The Apostle Paul Said: “Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.”

When interpreting the above Scriptures correctly, understanding the meaning of the words "belief", "repentance" and "witness" are key. The believer that sins and does not repent sets a bad example or witness, and risks losing their salvation, especially if they continue in sin, and do not care that they are doing so. This attitude shows a rejection of Christ and the Gospel He preached, and that is why Christ warned that He would be ashamed of those who are ashamed of Him and His teachings or commandments. He said this to emphasize the fact that He will be ashamed of, or reject anyone that knows what He expects from us, but will not live by His teachings, and will not teach others to do so. One's salvation can also be lost by blaspheming the Holy Spirit, which equates to calling Christ or our Heavenly Father Beelzebub, which is a demonic entity akin to the Devil or Lucifer that is opposed to God, and hates God's love for all mankind:

Matthew 12:24-32 ~ Yahshua said that calling Him or His Father Beelzebub (i.e. Satan) is the Unpardonable Sin! ~ “Now when the Pharisees heard it they said, “This fellow does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons.” 25 But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. 26 If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand? 27 And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges. 28 But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you. 29 Or how can one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house. 30 He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad. 31 Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. 32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.”

Speaking against the Holy Spirit means speaking against the testimony of the Spirit in our hearts and minds, and against the manifestations of the Holy Spirit in a believer's life. For example, the Spirit of God will convict us of Yahshua's full deity and humanity, and the importance of His Commandments. The Spirit will also show us our need  to repent or turn away from sin when we accept Yahshua's Words of Life in the Gospels, and when we ask God the Father to embed His Moral Law, and Christ's Spirit that convicts us to keep these commandments, deep into our souls.

The Spirit of God also convicts new believes of their need for Christ's shed blood to cover us so that we can be saved from our sins, and so that we can learn to live a godly life after being born again spiritually by His indwelling Spirit. Indeed, it is the Spirit of God dwelling within the believer that imparts spiritual gifts and fruits, and these manifest in a believer's life as miraculous supernatural manifestations, such as having prophetic dreams and visions, hearing words of knowledge from God through the Spirit, healing the sick, and speaking in tongues.

As long as these supernatural spiritual manifestations in believers agree with the Bible, and do not contradict the teachings of Christ or the Apostles, they should be accepted with joy, and considered to be true gifts of God. Sadly, though may supposed believers are guilty of it, denying the Holy Spirit's active manifestations in believer's lives today amounts to committing the Unpardonable Sin, and can result in losing one's salvation, which is not guaranteed without the Seal of the Holy Spirit via being born again! And do you think that those who deny the power of the Holy Spirit in believers today can possibly be born again? Think again, for the Spirit of God is meant to guide us into all truth! As it  says here in Scripture:

John 16:13-14 ~ “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.”

DO YOU UPHOLD THE ESSENTIAL DOCTRINES OF THE FAITH?

What we believe about Yahshua and our Salvation through Him is critically important. But many of the disagreements that I have experienced with believers today are not based on doctrinal "error", but on a matter of interpretation over the non-essentials of salvation. The essentials of our Salvation in Christ and what the Bible says about Who He is should not be open to debate. For me, these include the following:

I believe that Yahshua is the Son of God Who created the Universe for His Heavenly Father in His Preincarnate state, Who was made flesh by being incarnated into a man in the womb of a virgin, Who died for our sins and was resurrected unto everlasting life, Who now sits at the right hand of our Father in Heaven, Who has sent his Holy Spirit to instruct and guide us while He is away, and Who will come again in the same manner as He left to slay the wicked and judge the living and the dead.

I also teach that one must repent of all sin, accept Christ as God and Savior, be born-again by being infilled with the Spirit of God, and show at least some of the fruits of the Spirit to be considered truly saved and sanctified, that all born-again believers will be resurrected into everlasting life one day, human life begins at conception and is sacred, and traditional marriage is sacred, and neither unrepentant homosexuals or murderers will be allowed into the Kingdom of God. Although there is much controversy over these in our fallen world, these are also doctrines that pertain to one's salvation. We cannot disagree on these doctrines and still be considered members of the same faith.

But there are variations in interpretation throughout the Churches and Synagogues over many NON-ESSENTIAL doctrines of the faith, such as whether or not one can lose one's salvation, whether or not the baptism of the Holy Spirit that was available to the Apostles was meant for everyone, or only for a select few that God chooses to be leaders, whether or not one can divorce and re-marry, whether or not communion should be taken daily, weekly, or yearly, and whether or not infant baptism is valid or erroneous. These doctrines are not part of the essentials of salvation concerning who Christ is, what His purpose for being born was, what we must do to be saved by Him, and what He has accomplished and plans to accomplish for us.

We all need to ask the Holy Spirit to direct us on how to discern when our disagreements are over the ESSENTIALS of our faith, or over non-essentials, and we need to stand down and not be so confrontational when we disagree on the non-essentials.

DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT MEANS TO BE BORN AGAIN?

The title of this article is a question that I often find myself asking difficult, legalistic people in conversations on my timeline and privately at Facebook, or in E-Mails. I also often see the need to mention that I am born again to these people when clarifying where my spiritual perceptions and authoritative way of teaching originate.

Because I am born again, the Holy Spirit is living in me, and I now can converse with our Father God personally and directly, with no need of a mediator or translator. I am free to go directly to our Father Yahweh in Heaven through Yahshua without fear, and He speaks directly to me. I don't need dreams or visions anymore, though I did initially, and they do still help me to understand God sometimes when His spoken and written words aren't getting through to me completely.

But because I have a direct line to God and can literally hear Him speaking to me at times and showing me things that are to come, and these spoken words fully agree with Scripture, I have confidence that what I am sharing with you and others is true, in so far as I understand it. We all see in a glass darkly, so there are things about God and His Will that we will never understand fully until we are given our immortal bodies. But because I know my Father God and He knows me, I can speak boldly and without fear and go before the Throne of Grace whenever I have need of guidance, comfort or instruction.

In fact, as an evidence of God's direct intervention in my thoughts, I can testify that, contrary to popular belief, I am not that well-versed in Scripture at all, and I truly rely on the Holy Spirit to give me the perfect verses to quote and the meaning of the words when I want to lead and to teach others. So I am honestly not writing articles alone, but with God's direct help through His Spirit writing through me. That may sound strange or arrogant to someone who has not experienced it, but I can assure you that it is the way all of our relationships with God should be!

The real tragedy of this whole debate about the place of Grace in the Law of God is that all the Judaizers and Legalists that love attacking people like me don't have any clue what it means to have a real relationship with Yahshua that isn't dictated to them like a script through the Law! They are NOT real friends with God like Enoch and Abraham were, but strangers looking in through a looking glass blurred with the fog of their misunderstanding and lack of spiritual maturity.

I am not sinning for defending my right and the right of all Messianic Jews and Gentiles to celebrate their faith in Yahweh God under the NEW Covenant of Grace without being enslaved to the old Law, which was a curse because it accuses us of our sins, and which was done away with it as a means of condemnation on the Cross when Yahshua paid the price for those sins.

Do not let the Hebraic Roots Proponents and other Legalists and Saturday Sabbath advocates condemn you if you are like me and all the other Messianic Jews and Christians out there who have fully embraced the concept of Grace and the Power of the Holy Spirit to change us from the inside out without having to keep every outmoded Law of Moses that pointed ahead to Yahshua.

While we are changing from day to day and glory to glory into the Image of Yahshua, they are holding fast to the old Law that keeps them from experiencing the baptism of the Holy Spirit, Who seals our salvation and gives us a true and living relationship with Yahweh God and His Son and our Messiah that the Judaizers profess to worship, but do not truly know!

Without the Holy Spirit that was given on Shavuot directing your path INSTEAD of the Law, you are dead in your sins, and you are NOT saved! That is why there is a schism between Jews and saved Gentiles or grafted-in Israelites that will not be breached until Yahshua returns to settle the matter once and for all time.

NEVER FORGET THIS! - Yahshua is the WORD OF GOD or TORAH made Flesh! He who died on the cross for our sins nailed the curse of the Law onto the cross and it died with Him along with our sins which the Law cursed us for! And when God Incarnate rose from the dead, He made a new Law to be written on the hearts of all those who truly love Him and what He did for them, a Law written by the power of the Holy Spirit with love and mercy and kindness as its foundation rather than blind obedience.

You CANNOT speak of God's Law without mentioning that Yahshua is the Law and that He fulfilled it for us. You CANNOT speak of obedience without speaking of the New Covenant sealed by the Holy Spirit that gives us the power to be obedient. To be fixated on the old Law is death to the hearer without Yahshua there to show the Way with His Father's love, mercy, kindness and charity! Only Yahshua's Word brings LIFE! The Law only brings death and curses to everyone! Without Christ there to be our Mediator and Redeemer when we inevitably fail to keep the Law, we would all be doomed to HELL.

Praise Yahweh God for Yahshua and His Spirit, Who writes the new Law on our hearts and saves us when we fail to keep it perfectly! Amen and Hallelu-Yah! Thank You Yahshua for your saving GRACE!!!

Sadly, the main reason for these debates between legalistic, Torah-observant believers and born-again believers in Yahshua is that, though we all need to be born-again by the Spirit of God after we repent of all sin and believe in Yahshua, most believers don't have a clue what being born-again really means! They don't know how to surrender their lives to God and ask Him to fill them up with His Spirit and His light. They don't know the subsequent joy when this happens, and the comfort that comes with being able to converse directly with God, or what it really is or should be like, and that's the worst tragedy of all!

Please, fellow believers, if you do NOT hear God speaking to you in some tangible way at least once in a while, and God seems distant and unreachable to you except through outmoded rituals and traditions, realize that this is NOT the way a genuine, Spirit-filled walk with God is supposed to be like! Once you realize this, get down on your knees and beg God to fill you with His Spirit so that you can and will hear and follow Him and only Him!

Furthermore, if you do not feel God's Spirit within giving you true peace and joy in being saved even after asking God to fill you, it may be due to some unconfessed sin in your life. This can prevent you from experiencing a true relationship with Yahweh God.

If you think this may apply to you, then you need to REPENT openly and ask God to help you stop sinning. Then you need to pray against ALL demonic strongholds that are keeping God's Spirit from filling you! Repent of all known sin and ask God for forgiveness!

Then ask God the Father to fill you with His Spirit again and again in fervent prayer until He makes it known to you that He heard you! You will know that He did when you begin to experience visions, dreams and direct words of knowledge from Him that never contradict Scripture. You will also begin to feel God filling you with faith and purpose, and you will feel Him opening your spiritual eyes so that you can know God more intimately than you ever have before.

Do not shy away from this, my beloved brethren, but learn to embrace the true love and knowledge and Spirit of God in Christ, and you will never want to be without it or Him again!

Remember that the Holy Spirit is the SEAL of our salvation. This means that we need to see signs of the Holy Spirit's presence to gauge whether or not someone is saved. Is this person transformed by the renewing of their mind? Have they given up bad habits, lusts and addictions? Are they more loving and less likely to anger? These are all signs that someone has taken the first steps in knowing Christ, and that they are truly saved. But if their salvation remains at that level, and does not move into the realm of the miraculous and mystical, they will not be experiencing all the benefits of true fellowship with Christ.
