TO THOSE WHO THINK THE UNITED STATES IS BABYLON

As Bible students, all believers need to learn to let Yahweh's Word in the Bible be the final authority. Therefore, we need to let Yahweh tell us where and what End Time Mystery Babylon is through His prophetic word. According to Yahweh's prophetic word in the Book of Revelation, the Woman Who Rides The Beast and the End Time Babylon described in Chapter 17 and 18 of the Book of Revelation are both called CITIES, NOT NATIONS or kingdoms! So the Nation called the United States CANNOT BE BABYLON!

To prove what was just stated, let's first examine Chapter 18 of the Book of Revelation, where the following scripture verses tell us that Babylon is a city, not a nation:

Revelation 18:9, 16, 18, 19, 21  ~ “...‘Alas, alas, that great CITY Babylon, that mighty CITY! For in one hour your judgment has come.’” ~ “‘Alas, alas, that great CITY that was clothed in fine linen, purple, and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls!’” ~ “...and cried out when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, ‘What is like this great CITY?’” ~ “‘Alas, alas, that great CITY, in which all who had ships on the sea became rich by her wealth! For in one hour she is made desolate.’” ~ “Thus with violence the great CITY Babylon shall be thrown down, and shall not be found anymore.”

These scripture verses unflinchingly call Babylon a city by the sea, not a nation. As a city by the sea, Babylon could be the major US City called New York City on the Atlantic coast. Though New York would not be representative of the Woman, it could definitely be connected to the End Time Babylon. This is possible because that city has a powerful sway all over the world, especially with the Beast Government System represented by the United Nations being situated there! In fact, I strongly believe that the United Nations Security Council is representative of the Beast from the Sea, with its 10 horns being its ten temporary member nations, and its five permanent member nations representative of its seven heads.

One of the permanent member nations on the UN Security Council is the United Kingdom, which is actually 3 nations in one - Ireland, Scotland, and England. Thus, it represents three heads of the Beast from the Sea. The other four nations on the UN Security Council that are the other four heads of the seven-headed Beast from the Sea are Russia, China, France, and the United States.

But even though the United States is one of the heads of the Beast government system that Yahshua will destroy when He returns, that doesn't mean that the entire United States can be considered to be the End Time city of Babylon, or the separate but interrelated entity signified by the Harlot who is called Mystery Babylon. Yahweh was being very precise when He called Mystery Babylon a CITY, NOT A NATION when He said the following about the Woman who is called Mystery Babylon:

Revelation 17:18 ~ “And the woman whom you saw is that great CITY which reigns over the kings of the earth.”

So we see that the Woman or Harlot riding the Beast Government system is also a CITY. Furthermore, just as the Woman Clothed with the Sun in Revelation Chapter 12 signifies the born again believers that make up the Bride of Christ, the Woman or Harlot riding the Scarlet Beast with seven heads and ten horns in Revelation 17:3 signifies a religious system that rides or controls a world government represented by the seven-headed Scarlet Beast, which is none other than the Beast from the Sea spoken of in Revelation 13. Scripture also tells us that this Woman or city is built upon seven mountains:

Revelation 17:3, 5, 9 ~ “So he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns... And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.”~ “Here is the mind which has wisdom: The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits.”

Regarding these seven mountains, there are several cities that are built upon seven hills that are definitely connected to the One World Religion and Government of the Antichrist. These three cities are London, Rome and Mecca, and three major leaders of Church and State reside in them. These leaders are the Pope of the Catholic Church residing in Vatican City in Rome, the Head Imam of Sunni Islam in Mecca, and the Queen of the United Kingdom in London. All three are Heads of Church and State, and all three either endorse, or are working behind the scenes to create the End Time One World Religion connected to ECUMENISM, which says that "All Paths Lead To God", and which denies the exclusivity of Yahshua or Jesus as the one and only Messiah and King of kings.

However, remember that Yahweh had His prophet write down that the Harlot Woman sits on seven MOUNTAINS, not necessarily hills, and this ties in to the idea that the continents that the seven permanent member nations of the UN Security Council rule over are the seven mountains that Yahweh was pointing to.

So here you have my take on what the Book of Revelation tells us about Mystery Babylon. It is one city that is most likely Vatican City in Rome due to its leadership over Islam and the Ecumenical movement that the Queen of the UK also endorses. Furthermore, the Roman Catholic Church is firmly entrenched in the Americas and in Europe, which make up the nations of the Earth's Western Hemisphere, also called the West.

Thus, the Pope in Rome has the religious authority to sway all the Western nations of the Earth that are predominantly identified as Christian in culture and belief, and the current Pope Francis is so heretical in his opinions that even many in the Catholic Church now believe that he is poised to lead the world to abandon the truth of the Bible, and to serve Lucifer instead of Yahweh.

The Origins of Islam, and a Report on the Hajj to Mecca

The Origins of Islam
Long ago, I read that Mohammed, being dissatisfied with the paganism in Arabia and believing that there was only one God, went on a quest to find the truest path to God. During his travels, he spoke with many Jews and Christians trying to find the truth. But, because of widespread apostasy and confusion among Christian and Jewish sects, Mohammed never was taught properly and was never led to accept Yahshua as his Savior.

Instead, Mohammed came to the conclusion that no one religion had the whole truth, but only portions of the truth. So Mohammed decided it would be wise to create a religious platform that everyone could agree on. He felt this would not only eliminate any confusion about the nature of God and what He expects from His human children, but it would lead to world peace because everyone would have the same views on what God’s will for mankind is.

Mohammed tried to achieve this goal of peace by writing down the best stories and traditions from the major monotheistic faiths he encountered at the time, embellishing them with the Arabic folklore surrounding various Jewish and Christian traditions and religious stories. Then, in order to get people to listen to him, Mohammed taught that these stories were dictated to him by the angel Gabriel and were therefore more perfect than the Scriptures written down by men.

However, though Mohammed’s Arab contemporaries readily listened to and followed him, few of the Jews or Christians would listen. Instead, they repeatedly rejected him and refused to become Muslims. As a result, Mohammed got angry and returned to his home in Arabia, where he amended his writings to include the slanderous and violence-promoting passages towards infidels that the Koran contains today.

In addition, Mohammed began to call his followers to join him in a jihad or holy war to spread Islam throughout the whole world at the point of a sword. Though Mohammed’s goal of world Islamic domination was never achieved in history, it did come close several times. But that doesn’t seem good enough to some Muslims, who view the West with fear and contempt due to their moral laxity. This attitude of some devout Muslims is what has led to radical Islam today.

Since Islam is basically a skewed interpretation of Jewish and Christian holy books, it explains why Muslims believe similar things to Jews and Christians while denying the basic tenants of both faiths. For example, in the article linked to above, the Muslims are reported as seeing Abraham as the one who was tempted three times by the Devil instead of Yahshua, and they also see Abraham attempting to slay Ishmael on the altar rather than Isaac.

But the biggest tragedy of Islam is that their teachings about Yahshua, whom they call Isa, are also erroneous. Though they acknowledge his greatness as a teacher and prophet, Muslims deny Yahshua’s deity and holiness - to their everlasting peril. So, in a spirit of true Christian love and brotherhood, we need to pray that God will open a way for us to reach the Muslims with the truth of the Gospel before they all perish in the Antichrist’s kingdom.
