UNIVERSAL SALVATION, IS IT BIBLICAL?

The Narrow Way leads to our
Surrender at the foot of Yahshua's Cross.

The notion that everyone will eventually be saved and find everlasting life in Paradise with or without the Messiah Yahshua and His Spirit is not supported by Scripture. Although our loving Father God Yahweh doesn't want any of us to perish, many lost souls will choose the Broad Way that Leads to Destruction instead of the Narrow Way through belief in Yahshua that Leads to Everlasting Life. In the following Gospel passages, our Messiah Yahshua plainly tells us that few will find that Narrow Way by becoming His Disciples, and many will be condemned to the Lake of Fire for not choosing to believe in (ie love and follow) Him:

Matthew 7:13-14 - The Narrow Way - “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”
John 3:6-8 - “That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
John 3:16-21 - “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. 21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”

These Scriptures make it clear that there is only one path or way to salvation that is sure, and the gate we need to enter through to find it is believing what Yahshua the Messiah said is true about Himself. We need to believe in Yahshua's deity and creative power, in His love and compassion and humility, and in our need for His atoning sacrifice and our rebirth via His Spirit. When we truly believe in Yahshua, we give up our old way of life to become His disciples, and it is very difficult to do this.

One reason for this is the fact that, when we do decide to follow the Messiah, it opens up the way to receiving all kinds of ridicule and mockery for preaching against the sinful worldly ways of doing business and conducting relationships. Since we have given the worldly ways up to follow the Way of Love and Life in the Messiah, persecution is the inevitable result:

Matthew 5:10-12 - “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. 12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

But the joys of following Yahshua that we experience via emotional and physical healing, fellowshipping with our brothers and sisters in Yahshua, sharing the Gospel with the lost, and in finding new discoveries in spiritual growth should far outweigh the sufferings we must endure for His sake. As it says in the following Psalm:

Psalm 95:1-3
"Oh come, let us sing to the Lord!
Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation.
2 Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving;
Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.
3 For the Lord is the great God,
And the great King above all gods."

Like the ancient Israelites, we as true followers of Yahshua find real joy in gathering together with fellow believers and worshiping and praising Yahweh together. Even if we can't gather together, we can still worship and praise our Father God anytime we want to at home. Even if you are suffering or in sorrow, praying to God and thanking Him for His goodness even while calling on His mercy can uplift our spirits. But to find joy in hard circumstances, we need to learn to draw even closer to our Messiah and His Spirit so that they can give us the love and nurturing we need to not only survive, but thrive - even amidst all the chaos caused and bad behavior spawned by those unsaved people around us that we are called to try to reach. If we are in fellowship with Yahshua, we can rise above our circumstances and lead others to salvation by our example. So don't give up! Draw near to Yahshua and ask Him for whatever you need, and He will supply it:
Matthew 7:7-8 - "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened."
Philippians 4:19 - "And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (ie Messiah Yahshua)."

So don't be afraid to ask Yahshua for whatever you need to further His Kingdom while caring for yourself and your family, and never stop believing that He can and will provide for you!.For:

Hebrews 11:1-3 - "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. 3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible."

Before closing this article, I wanted to mention that many people who believe in universal salvation point to the following scripture as proof that everyone ever born will one day confess that Yahshua is their Messiah:

Philippians 2:8-11 - "And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God (Yahweh) also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus (Yahshua) every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Yahshua the Messiah is our Adonai), to the glory of God the Father."

Note what it says in Verse 10 above. Some believers twist this to mean that every person ever born will confess that Yahshua is their Messiah and thus they will be saved by this statement of belief. But this is not referring to those who do not believe, trust and have faith in God the Father and His Messiah and Son Yahshua already before they die. This is because anyone who does not confess that Yahshua came in the flesh and dwelt among us to save us from everlasting hellfire by His sacrificial death is an antichrist (See 1 John 2:22). Since these antichrists will not inherit everlasting life in the presence of Yahshua (See John 3:18), verse 10 of the Second Chapter of the Epistle to the Philippians is referring to those who are already saved through faith in Yahweh and His Messiah - whether they are alive or awaiting the resurrection from the dead.
