| God is the Potter, We are the Clay! |
“But now, O Lord, You are our Father;
We are the clay, and You are our Potter;
And all of us are the work of Your hand.
9 Do not be furious, O Lord,
Nor remember our iniquity forever;
Indeed, please look—we all are Your people!”
I sometimes reflect with pain on the many deeply spiritual people that, like me, have been brutally rebuffed, ignored, hated, and marginalized just for sharing what God has shown them, and what they hope will happen - sooner rather than later. I can feel their pain because I am one of them. But it also brings me a sense of the sadness melting away to let God's joy in knowing me - and vise versa - sink deep into my heart.💖
Part of that Joy comes from knowing the very Son of the one and only Living God felt that I was valuable enough to die for me. I mean, that is such an incredible act of love that it's hard for me to wrap my head around. He died a horrible, painful death so that I could live forever with Him. And you know that if He wants to live with you forever, you've got to be one fine person for a perfect man like Him to love and desire.
Yahshua (Jesus) was not a magician or sorcerer. He did not conjure spells on people, make them ill or force them to act in unnatural ways. He rather shields and protects those who draw near to Him, just as their best friend and beloved blood brother would. Yet He - Yahshua - is the one and only Begotten Son of God, and no other human in history was divinely conceived by Yahweh our Heavenly Father except Yahshua or Jesus.
For this reason, like our Heavenly Father, Yahshua was, still is and always will be Perfect. He never sinned because He recognized it for what it was before it had a chance to lure Him. So He won the chess game that Satan started with Him long ago in Heaven - long before the Earth was ever created. He alone was the only One who was and is ALWAYS victorious in saying a flat out "NO!" to the Devil!
Although we are forgiven of all our wrong doing when we enter into the New Covenant with Yahshua and become Born Again, we aren't capable of holding all of the enormous power that God wants to give us through His Son and Spirit! We are just like jars of clay, capable of storing up many blessings and pouring them out on ourselves and others when needed, but easily cracked and broken. Even still, we can patch our holes with mortar and inherit a good deal of the power and authority that Yahshua had when we believe in, love and follow Him,
Because He loves us so much, our Heavenly Father Yahweh is generous with us, and we can receive many gifts and blessings when we believe in Yahshua as the Savior of the Universe. This means that we can see His perfection and accept His blood sacrifice, and then become spiritually reborn. And here's the thing, When we are born again, we can even bend the laws of physics, and move literal mountains just by opening our mouths and asking God to do it for us! You just have to be confident in knowing that He's going to do it, and never stop believing that He's going to do it because HE LOVES YOU so much!
We can enter into the Kingdom of God within the Temple of our bodies anytime we want just by speaking to Yahshua as if He was sitting, standing or walking right there with us and letting Him know how much we need to feel His Love, which endures forever (See Psalm 136:1-3). And here is another paradox! For, though we are in no way Deity in human form like Yahshua was, He has chosen to dwell in and with us forever because He finds us so amusing, adorable and alluring. And because we find Him to be the same for us, it's truly a match made in Heaven.
We always have to remember that we are not God, but because Yahshua truly was, and we are now seen as a necessary part of His immortal, perfect Body, we inherit a precious touch of divinity through Him. And let's face the fact that Yahshua truly is a human representation of the Creator God of the Universe! In fact, the Book of Colossians Chapter 1 makes it clear that Yahshua was the Creator of the Universe on behalf of our Heavenly Father before He became a man and dwelt with us.
Elsewhere in Scripture, it is clear from Abraham nearly being called to sacrifice his son Isaac, and from the priestly rituals under Moses that our Creator also knew that Adam and Eve would fall into sin, become like viruses to the Universe and subsequently have to be sentenced to death, and that He was going to have to incarnate as a man and die for their sins and the sins of all their descendants if He was going to be able to love them for eternity without feeling the pain of their infinitely tragic loss. In fact, He surely knew all that long before the Earth was even created.
Thankful as we are for God's Grace and mercy, we don't have to feel sad when we remember that, despite all the love that our Heavenly Father has for us, and all the gifts that He showers us with, we are still mortals in bodies of mere clay. Though we are really fragile, and we are passing away, we are infused with the knowledge that - for us - when our jars of clay (bodies) become a bit cracked (mature in our faith), we can leak God's Word or Living Water out, and share it even more!
Yet even if we die in this finite world, it means that we will live with Christ to our infinite gain. Indeed, we can't inherit the true life, love, glory, power and authority that we have in Yahshua until we are resurrected in new and perfect bodies, and can inherit our flawlessly beautiful life to come.
So don't be afraid to leave this world behind when the time comes. Because the truth is that such enormous glory and love awaits us that we can't even picture it! We can't conceive of what it will be like to be fully loved, and in love because we can't experience it with anyone else but Yahshua, not even those who love us and Him too. But when we get a good taste of His love, we want it even more. As a result, we find that the world becomes increasingly more of an enemy than a friend.
This is why we are told by the Apostle Paul that we enter into death with Christ when we accept Him as our Savior (Romans 6:8-11; 2 Timothy 2:11). This is because we suddenly want to live through and in Yahshua - and to be His perfect Temple or Body with the life-giving water of His Word flowing from within us and outward into others forever. As Yahshua said in the Gospel of John:
💦🌊John 7:37-39🌊💦 - “On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. 38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” 39 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.”
So let the Holy Spirit fill you up with Yahshua's Living Water daily, and then go out and be sociable while you pour out generous cups of that Living Water from God's Word wherever you go!
