Nostradamus’ May Earthquake Prediction Does NOT Apply to 2012!

Have you heard some people attributing one of Nostradamus’ quatrains about a severe earthquake in the month of May to this year? This is the quatrain in question:

Century 10, Quatrain 67 -

A very mighty trembling in the month of May,

Saturn in Capricorn, Jupiter and Mercury in Taurus:

Venus also in Cancer, Mars in Virgo,

At that time hail will fall larger than an egg.

Well, I checked my Astronomy programs, and those planetary positions will not be evident in the Earth’s sky at any time this year. Furthermore, according to one web site that I’ve quoted below, this quatrain applied to May of 1549, since the planetary positions it indicates were evident earlier that year, and there was a severe earthquake in May and bad hail in November of that year:

“Wöllner writes that the planetary positions, mentioned in this quatrain, occurred around the end of May 1312 and the beginning of May 1549. He has calculated that these planetary positions also occur on April 8, 1929 (Julian calendar) and the beginning of May 3755. Wöllner thinks that this quatrain points to 1549, since there was a heavy earthquake in May and extreme hail in November. In the case of new earthquakes and extreme hail, the given planetary positions would re-occur.”

Furthermore, according to the above quote, the planetary positions it indicates last occurred in 1929, and won’t occur again until early May in the year 3755, so it can’t apply to this year. Besides that, Nostradamus made many predictions that have proven to be false, so he was not a true prophet of God.
