Twilight’s Vampires and Werewolves: The Nephilim Connection

Excerpted from the copyrighted, soon-to-be-released book: “The Language of God in History,” Book 3 in Helena Lehman’s Language of God Book Series.

For years, trend-savvy move producers and authors who are now multi-millionaires have known that people often find a twisted form of sensual pleasure when courting death and terror in their fantasies, and many have a dark occult fascination with horror. Creatures of the night such as vampires and werewolves court people with their sinister allure, raising their blood pleasure and giving them an adrenaline high that is almost sexual and orgasmic in its intensity for some. But this sort of pleasure is sinful, and those who love Christ are called not only to reject it, but to expose it for the evil that it is:

“Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful… to mention what the disobedient do in secret. But everything exposed by the light becomes visible… This is why it is said: ‘Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” - Ephesians 5:11-14 (NIV)

Those who are truly spiritually awake and have the light of Christ within them tend to be highly sensitive, and to find no pleasure in watching people being deceived, tortured, and/or murdered in highly grotesque ways by the living dead or the damned. For someone such as myself who has always been aware of the spiritual darkness and light within the invisible spirit world around me, this is especially true. For me, there is nothing more terrifying than watching a horror movie filled with dark demonic beings that find animalistic pleasure raping or eating people, cutting or ripping them into pieces, or drinking their blood until they die or are transformed into another demonic creature of darkness.

Though few people realize it, this sort of entertainment invokes terror in me because I know that it accurately depicts the dark desires of demons that continually lust after human flesh and blood. Furthermore, I know that these unseen demonic entities are actually the spirits of the Nephilim, alien beings that hate mankind with an intense passion, and that once inhabited the Earth before the Flood. At that time, the Nephilim vied for the control of the Earth, and desired to destroy every human being that was not mesmerized into submission and sexual sin by their dark, exotic and sensual allure.

Rather than be seduced into sexual promiscuity or terrified to death by these demonic spirits, I cling tightly to Yahshua my Messiah, whose love and Spirit save me from succumbing to the perverse sensuality, darkness and terror that so many foolhardy people seem to crave. I find no delight in being terrified, or in courting evil and sensuality instead of the pure and untainted intimacy with Yahweh God that we can all experience when we love the light of Yahshua (Jesus) more than the darkness that He alone can save us from. As the Apostle Peter said:

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” - 1 Peter 2:9 (NKJ)

But, if Yahshua’s light is so marvelous, why are many among those who profess to love Him finding pleasure in dark entertainment? What I find most alarming about this is the absolute rejection of Yahshua’s light and love that these people are giving into every time they watch a horror movie or read a paranormal romance or romantic thriller. They either do not realize or do not care that they are courting Hell and the Devil when they allow their minds to be tantalized with darkness, for all of those who are saved are called to reject Satan’s darkness in favor of God’s light. As the Apostle Paul said:

“The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ (Yahshua Ha Mashiach), and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.” - Romans 13:12-14 (NKJ)

If we desire to be citizens in Christ’s Kingdom of light and love, we cannot find lustful pleasure in viewing the glorification of evil and darkness, or seeing it as an acceptable form of entertainment. Nonetheless, many professing Messianics and Christians see nothing wrong with viewing horror movies or occultic thrillers. They see these things as entertainment and think that there is nothing abnormal in experiencing the emotional distortions, adrenaline rush and sensory overload provided by these venues, even though they are contrary to what Christ expects from His followers. As Yahshua said:

“Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.” - John 3:20-21 (NIV)

What is even more alarming to me is the overwhelming popularity of modern romance novels featuring a hero or heroine that is a vampire. It boggles my mind to know that many women and teen girls (and, with the advent of the “Twilight” books and movies, men and teen boys too) are fascinated with dark romances that feature a liberated, unscrupulous, or immoral woman who is seduced into a sensual liaison with a male vampire. Even though these unlikely vampire heroes are often tormented souls who would rather perish than suck the blood out of living humans to live forever, the dictates of the dark fantasy realms these vampires inhabit insist that they are beyond redemption and - despite their tragic desire - could never be transformed into beings of light. In other words, these creatures of darkness can perish as easily in sunlight as they inevitably and irrevocably would in Yahweh God’s illuminating and holy presence.

Nonetheless, with increasing frequency, even supposedly good Christian women and teens often find sick pleasure in fantasizing about falling in love with a supernaturally powerful being that is forever separated from God’s love and light, and could easily destroy them. But, instead of heeding the prompting of their conscience (i.e. the Holy Spirit), many hapless people unwisely succumb to the dark sensuality and lust that these beings seduce them with. Then they fall even further into error when they imagine that their love might somehow miraculously transform these creatures of darkness into beings of light. They do not realize that they are toying with an impossible fantasy, for as the Bible says:

“For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? …As God has said: ‘I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.’ Therefore ‘Come out from among them and be separate,’ says the Lord. ‘Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you. I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters,’ says the Lord Almighty.” - 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 (NKJ)

If God calls us to be like Christ, who resisted the Devil or Belial and exposed evil with God’s light rather than try to love or cajole demons into the Kingdom of Heaven, how can any of us think for a moment that we can redeem the unredeemable, or save the damned? There is not one instance in Scripture where Yahshua offered a demon salvation or where any demon acted even remotely interested in accepting salvation! How then can we entertain the thought that we are capable of doing what even Christ could not do? For this reason, it is absolutely foolhardy to believe that a demon can be won over to love Christ or to live in fellowship with Him or His Body, the Church.

Since we have been called to walk in the light of Christ and to flee from evil, it follows that we cannot entertain darkness, or seek sensual pleasure in the dark arms of demons. Those like myself who are saved and aware of the spirit world know that every demon is the spirit of a Nephilim, and no demon or Nephilim ever asked to be forgiven by Christ because they are incapable of true repentance and therefore are beyond redemption. It’s time for believers to wake up and realize that any love of paranormal paramours and the demonic divas who court them is a dangerous re-visitation of the dark sensuality that gripped the entire world before the Flood. Though few acknowledge it, this same love of physical pleasure eventually caused every human being that wasn’t killed by the Nephilim to succumb to sin and to lust after their strange flesh. As a result, these people were not only physically destroyed but spiritually cursed with a fate worse than death, for this is what being totally separated from God’s love and light forever truly will be.
