A SHEEP WITHOUT A SHEPHERD, OR A SHEPHERD WITHOUT A FLOCK?

The title of this short article asks a question that I have been asking ever since I left the Catholic Church when I was 16 and began searching for the truth of the Gospel. Since then, I have felt like both at one time or another. But for a short time - as a new fledgling born-again believer - I did find a few Church homes. In fact, I was baptized in, and attended an Evangelical Church that had great worship music for a dozen years. But that ended when they suddenly went "Purpose Driven", and all their sermons thereafter were about helping the Church and being part of a Church family that was friendly to "outsiders".

That meant no more hard teachings about the need to repent of sin, about the evils of abortion, about the rampant sexual fornication in our world today, about the blight of homosexuality, or the reality of the fact that many people are headed to Hell rather than Heaven. So I eventually felt that I had to leave that church. While I was searching for a new Church home, I bought worship CDs and DVDs filled with great Christian and Messianic worship music, which I still use at home.

For a short time, while my Messianic knowledge base was growing, I found and attended a great Grace-friendly Messianic Synagogue in San Diego, but then I had to move away to the Chicago area after my divorce. So I returned to searching for a Church or Messianic Synagogue home. This went on for a long time, but the search proved elusive.

You see, Yahweh God wants me to be a witness of what I know, and no Pastor or Rabbi I've met and talked to so far wants someone like me with such a radical theology around because I may undermine their lukewarm or outright heretical teachings. So time and time again, I was made to feel unloved and unwelcome, and I eventually stopped going, and stopped searching.

In short, I have learned that I need to lead my own congregation. This is partly why I started reaching out to others through my Pillar of Enoch Ministry web site and blog - that and the desire to write and print my own books and articles, which I soon discovered that no Christian or Secular book or magazine publisher would touch. Sadly, this was for the same reason why I couldn't find a Church home. I was just too radical for any of them to want to take a risk on.

This is how my online ministry developed. So I can partly thank the deplorably backslidden state of the many apostate Protestant Churches and the infection of the Hebrew Roots movement in the Messianic Synagogues near me for helping me to become the online shepherd that I am today. But I sure wish I had enough funds to start my own physical congregation because I truly miss fellowshipping with others in person. For now, however, it's just a dream, and I am content with this online family that I have found and love so much.

The Horsemen of the Apocalypse Depicted in Heaven on December 21st, 2012!

In the illustration shown here, which appeared in my critically acclaimed book "The Language of God in Prophecy", I show how four constellations are allegorically connected to the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. In the book, I show how all four signs had one or more of the seven major planets in them on December 21st, 2012.

This illustration shows three of the four constellations tied to the Seal Judgments. These are Sagittarius, Scorpio, and Libra, while Taurus is also alluded to, though it is not shown. The line up of the major planets in these signs on this date is what partly led me to believe that this date is likely tied to the opening of the Seal Judgments.  Before you reject this hypothesis, please consider that the Seal Judgments do NOT appear to be part of God's Wrath, but are related to God's withdrawal of His Protection from various once Christian Nations as they become more apostate and wicked. As the nations become more rebellious, the curses for not keeping God's Moral Law begin to be inflicted. These curses can come upon a nation or people group at any time in history, and they can also be reversed if peoples and nations repent and turn back to follow the Lord. This is why the Seal Judgments are NOT God's Wrath, for which there will be NO turning back or reversal possible.

The Book of Revelation, Chapter 6 clearly states that the Wrath of God will not begin to be poured out until the Sixth Seal is opened. Furthermore, the Sixth and Seventh Seal Judgments and the Trumpet Judgments indicate that God's Wrath will originate from the heavens with Celestial bombardments of the Earth and from massive Earth changes that no earthly man, nation or weapon could possibly mimic or stop, while the Seal judgments mostly are the result of mankind's inhumanity to man, and widespread wickedness and greed.

To find out what the Rider on the White Horse signifies, and what the other horses and riders of the Book of Revelation's first four Seal Judgments signify, believers should go to the Heavens and look for the Horse constellations. The image of a horse is allegorically found in three constellations or signs. The most prominent one is Sagittarius the Archer, a Centaur representing Christ as a King as well as a perfect Sacrifice for Sin.

Just as Christ came to destroy Satan's schemes to destroy Humanity, Sagittarius' bow and arrow is pointing directly at the star signifying the heart of Scorpio the Scorpion, or Satan. Incidentally, Scorpio with Ophiuchus above it signifies the Rider on the Pale Horse, and Ophiuchus is a symbol of Christ's crucifixion for our sins, and His shed blood on the Cross that brings healing and salvation to mankind.

Another similar and nearby constellation that can be viewed as a Rider on a Horse is Centaurus the Centaur that is connected to Libra the Scales. The Scales of Libra represent Yahshua or Jesus' perfect sacrifice for our sins that blots away our sins when we accept His sacrifice. Meanwhile, the Centaur signifies Yahshua or Jesus as a willing sacrifice that gave Himself up unto death so that we could find everlasting life through Him. Due to its connection to Libra, Centaurus can be seen as the Rider on the Black Horse that carries a pair of scales (i.e. Libra) in his hand.

Finally, the constellation Pegasus represents the white horses that Yahshua and His Saints will one day ride to victory. Pegasus is a decan constellation of the sign of Aquarius, the Water Bearer, which signifies Yahshua pouring out the Holy Spirit on all flesh in this age, although in the age before the Flood, it signified the Great Flood of Noah. Since Pegasus is connected to Aquarius, its meaning is colored by it.

I hope this illustration and explanation helps you to see that the traditional teaching that the Rider on the White Horse depicts the Antichrist is not necessarily true. In fact, it is likely not true at all. Rather, the Rider on the White Horse likely depicts the true Gospel being preached just before Yahshua's return by Christ's faithful Watchmen and Women.

In addition, this connection of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse with four powerful Messianic signs or constellations that prophesied about Yahshua's death for our sins and resurrection into everlasting life suggest that the first Four Seal plagues or judgments released at the rides of the Four Horsemen will not touch those who love and follow Yahshua in Spirit and in Truth. Those who trust in God will be protected. There are, however, many on the Earth today calling themselves Christians who are not living godly lives that will suffer the consequences of their apostasy and lukewarmness.

But even the protection of true and faithful believers will stop abruptly with the opening of the Fifth Seal. This is because the Fifth Seal is connected to the martyrdom of believers, which will begin before the Sixth Seal is opened. In fact, the brutal deaths of God's beloved children by bloodthirsty men filled with hatred could be seen as the Fifth Seal trigger that will cause God's Wrath to be poured out with the opening of the Sixth Seal. (4-21-2015 Update: The murder of countless Christians in the Middle East at the hand of ISIS Jihadists in 2014 ans 2015 is a sure sign that the Fifth Seal has been opened, and the Sixth Seal outpouring of God's Wrath immediately following the Rapture of the Saints to Heaven can't be far off!)

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE THE BRIDE OF CHRIST, ESPECIALLY FROM A MAN'S PERSPECTIVE

~*~ Revelation 19:7-9 ~*~  “Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” 8 And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. 9 Then he said to me, ‘Write: “Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!” And he said to me, ‘These are the true sayings of God.’”

Over the years, several men have told me that they are uncomfortable with thinking of themselves as the Bride of Christ in her role as the Wife at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, which is described above. This is an understandable thing in light of the Bride's role in an ordinary marriage between a man and a woman. But our relationship with God is so much more complex than any ordinary intimate human relationship.

In fact, in reference to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, the terms Bride and Bridegroom are not gender-specific terms. Instead, they relate to dominance and submission, as well as intimacy. We are in submission to Christ, who is dominant over us in authority, just as Adam was over Eve (See Ephesians 5:22-33). In their subservient roles under Christ's kingship, believers are to serve one another in love, not regarding their worldly roles as important or meaningful in relation to their current and future roles in the Kingdom of God. Indeed, gender roles are no longer important within the Body of Christ, for no matter what our race, social status, occupation, or gender is now, we are all to be considered as equal and one in Christ, without specific gender roles in the Kingdom (See Galatians 3:27-29; Colossians 3:9-11).

Even our existence in the presence of Christ after the Rapture is described in the terms of a Wedding Feast and a Marriage because we will be intimately connected to our Messiah and King, our Heavenly Father, and the Holy Spirit continually during and after the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. Scriptures that shed light on our role in this sacred marriage can be found in the Parable of the Wedding Banquet found in Matthew 22:1-14 and the Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins found in Matthew 25:1-13.

In the Parable of the Wedding Banquet, the original wedding guests, who were the descendants of the Israelites, refuse to come to the wedding because they reject Christ or the Bridegroom as their Messiah or Savior. Therefore, the Master of the Feast invites new wedding guests that are seemingly chosen at random after the chosen wedding guests, who were the Israelites, failed to attend. These new guests are described as both good and bad people, and all but one of then is wearing a wedding garment. This garment is the white robe of the saints, and it signifies baptism with the Holy Spirit, which comes after we are covered by the blood of the Lamb through belief in Christ. So those cast out of the wedding banquet into the Outer Darkness, which signifies the Great Tribulation, are bad people that are not born again, and whose sins are therefore not forgiven.

In the Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins, the good and bad guests of the Parable of the Wedding Banquet appear again. This time, however, the good guests are described as the Wise Virgins that attend the wedding feast with the Bridegroom when He comes for them because their oil lamps representing the fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit are full. But the bad guests are described as Foolish Virgins that do not have the oil of the Holy Spirit in their lamps, and are therefore to be left behind to suffer the Great Tribulation.

As shown in the contemporary Jewish Wedding photograph attached to this article, there are male and female attendants to the bride and the groom, and male and female distinguished guests at a Jewish Wedding, and surely the Marriage Supper of the Lamb will be no different. Among the Jews and the Gentiles, those who served and loved the Wise Virgins or Attendants to the Bride and Groom will come from the Two Houses of Israel that are Jewish Judah and Gentile Ephraim. Therefore half of the Wedding Chapel will be filled with the Messianic Jewish guests of the Groom, and the other half of the Chapel will be filled with the Christian guests of the Bride from among the Gentile nations.

For the Bride, attendants to the Bride and Groom, and the wedding guests that attend the wedding, their joy will be complete in that each one will experience a new and powerful form of intimacy with God. This intimacy will manifest itself in such incredibly wonderful ways that we simply can't phantom it all now. This is because we have nothing in the range of current human experience that can compare with it in the measure of inexhaustible satisfaction and pleasure it will give each of us on a daily basis.

This intimacy has nothing to do with sex, but everything to do with a continuous and limitless source of familial love, friendship, wisdom, knowledge, joy, fulfillment and comfort being exchanged freely between God and His beloved servants. As such, our intimate connection to God the Father and His Son and Spirit will be the most powerful and fulfilling force in our lives, and it will last forever - without end!

When the Bride of Christ is viewed as the genderless focus of a much bigger event where men will be in the Bridal Party and among the invited guests, men in the Body of Christ should be looking forward to this Wedding in Heaven as much as the ladies are! ;-)

A CLUE THAT THE RAPTURE MAY BE IN JUNE OF 2014

According to my interpretation of the heavenly signs, a Blood Moon that occurred on the Winter Solstice of December 21st, 2010 over the upward pointing sword of the highly Messianic Constellation Orion the Brilliant is a pivotal sign. In fact, this Blood Moon over this symbol of Yahshua as a Kinsmen Redeemer and Conquering Prince or Avenger of Blood may have been the marker proclaiming the beginning of the seven-year Tribulation period, or Seventieth Week of the Prophecy in Daniel, Chapter 9.

Intriguingly, as the Screen Capture above shows, there are exactly 1260 days between December 21st, 2010 and the Jewish date for Pentecost or the Feast of Shavuot beginning on the evening of June 3rd, 2014. It is also interesting to note that the Woman Clothed with the Sun described in the Book of Revelation, Chapter 12 is to be secluded in a place of refuge for the same amount of days, which marks the three and a half years of the Great Tribulation.

If we count the days from December 21st, 2010 up to June 3rd, 2014, as shown in the Screen Capture, we get 1260 days. If we count from December 22nd, 2010 and include June 3rd, 2014, the end date would be June 4th, which is the actual first day of Shavuot.

Though I can't say for certain that the Rapture will occur around this time, it is an intriguing possibility that I wanted to share as a message of hope in the midst of this era of such worldwide turmoil. Through my studies of "The Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins" (a.k.a. "The Parable of the Ten Virgins") and the description of the Church of Philadelphia in Revelation 3, I have come to see that Wise Virgins and the Bride of Christ consist of redeemed sinners of every people group who symbolically become a part of the body and blood of Christ through Communion, and then have an opportunity to become the Bride through their great love and desire for Yahshua.

The faithful ones that desire and love Yahshua above all others in Heaven and on Earth are His Bride, and they will dwell in the New Jerusalem with Christ, along with the handmaidens to the Bride who are the Wise Virgins described in the Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins in the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 25. The rest of the redeemed will live outside that great everlasting city in other cities and towns within the Kingdom of God. This teaching is supported by the following Scriptures:

Matthew 24:29-31 - “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”

The Parable of the Ten Virgins - Matthew 25:1-12 - “Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3 Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, 4 but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5 But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. 6 And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ 7 Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ 9 But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut. 11 Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ 12 But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’”

To The Church of Philadelphia (a.k.a the Bride of Christ): 
Revelation 3:10-12 - “Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. 11 Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. 12 He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.”

Revelation 14:14-16 - “Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat One like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle. 15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, ‘Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come for You to reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.’ 16 So He who sat on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped.”

NOTE: Revelation 14:14-16 is DIRECTLY tied to Matthew 24:29-31, when Yahshua will return to Rapture His Bride riding on the clouds, just as He ascended to Heaven riding on a cloud ten days before Pentecost or Shavuot. In addition, the grain that Yahshua harvests represents the desirable wheat in the Parable of the Wheat and the Tares. The wheat signifies the Body of Christ, also known as born-again believers in Yahshua.

Revelation 21:9-11 - “Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.” 10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 11 having the glory of God. And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it.”  

Revelation 21:24-27 - “Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there). 26 And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it. 27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.”
