UNREPENTANT HOMOSEXUALS AND OTHER SINNERS
SHOULD NEVER BE "ACCEPTED" INTO THE CHURCH!

PENTECOSTALS ACCEPT GAYS - It Begins – Andrew Strom

My Comment on 2-27-2013:
All sin, no matter how great or small, is rebellion against our Father God, and it is disgusting to Him. But sexual sin seems the easiest to excuse in our society today, from sex out of wedlock, to living together without marriage, to engaging in extramarital affairs, to having multiple sex partners. In fact, there are very few Christians that look one iota different than their unsaved counterparts in the world today sexually or otherwise.

Even those of us who claim to have died to the world to follow Christ can and do sin everyday - myself included! In fact, many of us are so accustomed to sinning that we often miss the little white lies, tiny indiscretions and lustful or covetous thoughts that we all frequently engage in. But the committed believer knows what the Bible says, and it  says that - without repentance before God and the congregation as we confess our sins to one another IN SHAME - there is no forgiveness, and without our forgiveness of others sins, God will not forgive us!

Therefore, it follows that only the HUMBLE sinner that knows that he or she needs to go to the foot of the Cross everyday and asks God the Father for forgiveness, who sees the sins of others and forgives them, but calls them to the same repentance, who asks the Spirit of God to help them to change, and who does gradually change for the better will be welcome into Heaven on Rapture day! Remember that all believers are called to reflect Christ’s character, and He was perfectly sinless! Though it is impossible for us to be perfect until the Resurrection, we should strive for it, as the Holy Spirit leads.

Though it may be an inconvenient truth, God hates a PROUD sinner, and unfortunately there are many proud sinners in the Homosexual community that are demanding acceptance of their sins without seeking repentance, or wanting to change. By the same token, many congregations seem to have completely accepted and turned a blind eye to all the young people in their midst who live together and have sex outside of marriage - as if there was nothing wrong with it!

In truth, sexual fornication in all its forms, including homosexuality - should be loudly and repeatedly condemned in every congregation that claims to follow Christ! Calls to repentance should be heard from every good Church pulpit every Sabbath, and if this isn’t the case, the Bible also makes it clear that these unrepentant congregations and their worthless pastors are in jeopardy of being excluded from the Kingdom of God!

My Additional Comment on 3-1-2013:
To add to my original comment, I’d like to say that my point isn’t that unrepentant sinners shouldn’t be allowed to attend a congregational meeting or enter a Church. My point is that they shouldn’t be accepted as members of the community unless they eventually show repentance of their known sins, admit when they discover new sins they didn’t know that they were committing, and express a desire to change for the better with God’s help when they do confess their sins. All sinners, including the leaders of any congregation, need to show their regret when they confess their sins openly, and they should show humbleness and a desire to change.

Repentance and a desire to change are true signs salvation. Unfortunately, many people reading any call to repentance often miss the point, which is that the church is no place for UNREPENTANT sinners to hang out. People come to Christ to find forgiveness for their sins. If they don’t want forgiveness, they don’t belong in the Church. Yes, Evangelism takes place in the Church, but if it falls on deaf ears, the people who won’t repent don’t belong in the Body of Christ. The Apostle Paul tells us to flee from unrepentant sinners, not to hang out with and “accept” them.

The Church is a place for repentant sinners to grow stronger in their walk with Christ, and for sinners to find out they need to repent. If they don’t want to repent, they don’t belong. It’s that simple. The New Testament Scriptures repeatedly say that anyone who sins without seeking repentance will not inherit the Kingdom of God. This is not my opinion. It’s in Scripture. In fact, there’s an entire chapter from the New Testament letters of the Apostle Paul that explains what I am saying here, and what we need to be mindful of. Here it is, as translated in the New King James Version of the Bible:

~*~ 1 Corinthians 6  (NKJV) ~*~

Do Not Sue the Brethren: “Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints? 2 Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 3 Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life? 4 If then you have judgments concerning things pertaining to this life, do you appoint those who are least esteemed by the church to judge? 5 I say this to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you, not even one, who will be able to judge between his brethren? 6 But brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers!

Now therefore, it is already an utter failure for you that you go to law against one another. Why do you not rather accept wrong? Why do you not rather let yourselves be cheated? 8 No, you yourselves do wrong and cheat, and you do these things to your brethren! 9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.”

Glorify God in Body and Spirit: “All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. 13 Foods for the stomach and the stomach for foods, but God will destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 14 And God both raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by His power.

15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! 16 Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.” 17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.

Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

The scripture that I quoted above basically says that we need to judge one another’s conduct and make sure we are living a life that is pleasing to God. Paul said that it is our job to judge one another! But we must always remember to do so with a spirit of love and forgiveness to temper our judgments. In this way, we can help our brethren to grow in their walk with Christ, and to blossom in their ability to show the power of the Holy Spirit within them. This will be reflected in them as they become more like Christ in word, action and deed. And that means sinning less, and repenting more!

To add to this, I'd like to share a link to an article I wrote recently about the role of Judgment in the Church. I hope that it will convict and bless you in your walk with Christ. Here it is:

IMPORTANT POEM BLOG ARTICLE: GOD CALLS HIS SAINTS TO JUDGE ONE ANOTHER - Excerpt: The Scriptures teach that the Word of God is useful for instruction, reproof, and correction: “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work” - (2 Timothy 3:16, NKJV). Taking this Scripture into consideration, we cannot instruct, reprove or correct others unless we know how to make righteous judgments...
