Saturday, September 15th, 2012 - The belief
that a “Rapture” or catching away of the saints to Heaven will occur before the
Tribulation is continually under fire by those who think the Church will be
caught unprepared for the Tribulation when it happens. However, many born-again
believers understand that there is no way that the majority of us could ever
prepare for the tribulations that will soon engulf the world with total
destruction.
Indeed, unless we have tons of money to
build a heavily fortified and defensible underground shelter in which to store
enough medication, food and water for three and a half years, much less seven
years, there is no way any of us will survive. In short, we will all perish
sooner or later unless our Heavenly Father miraculously protects us, which is
our great hope - and one that is not without a biblical precedent! For
example, Yahweh God fully protected the Israelites, who were not touched by the
Angel of Death in Egypt
When we store up heavenly treasure through
Holy Spirit driven good works (1 Cor. 12:1-11; James 2:14-24), it assures our
divine protection in times of calamity. In light of these instructions from
Yahshua, the desperate need to store up enough provisions and survival gear to
care for ourselves and our families in the event of a cataclysmic event should
not be a concern, and should be seen as truly futile by all who trust in God
for their protection and help. But, rather than merely be protected here on
Earth as the spiritually unregenerated Israelites were, there are many
Scriptures that point to a Rapture or catching away of the born-again saints in
the Church to Heaven before the Great Tribulation. Here are the most significant two:
~*~ John 14:1-3 ~*~“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”
~*~ 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18 ~*~“For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 THEREFORE COMFORT ONE ANOTHER WITH THESE WORDS.”
Note that, in the quote from John’s Gospel, Yahshua says that He will come again to receive His saints, and this can’t be at the end of the Tribulation, because He will NOT be returning to Heaven after that, but staying here on the Earth for His Millennial Rule! Also, verse 18 of the quote from Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians is capitalized to make a
point. There is NO COMFORT in Paul’s words if he is telling us that we all have
to live through the Great Tribulation, which will be the worst time of trouble
that the world will ever experience!
In the same letter, Paul also said that God
did NOT appoint us to suffer His Wrath, and that we should find comfort in that
fact as well;
~*~ 1 Thessalonians 5:8-11 ~*~“But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. 9 FOR GOD DID NOT APPOINT US TO WRATH, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ (i.e. Adonai Yahshua Ha Mashiach), 10 who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him. 11 Therefore COMFORT EACH OTHER and edify one another, just as you also are doing.”
Please allow yourself to be comforted by the Holy Spirit and Yahshua’s promise to come back for us, and don’t get discouraged! Since the Great Tribulation is the time
when the full fury of God’s Wrath toward the wicked will be poured out, there
is no way He is going to let His fully born-again and sanctified saints live
through that time of trouble, of which Yahshua said:
“For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.” - Matthew 24:21
As a promise of our coming deliverance from
this time of severe trouble and tribulation, Yahshua also gave a special
promise to the Church
of Philadelphia
~*~ Rev. 3:10-11 ~*~“Because you have kept My command to persevere, I ALSO WILL KEEP YOU FROM THE HOUR OF TRIAL which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. 11 Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.”
The Church of Philadelphia
Yahshua’s point in this Parable is that one
can be saved for everlasting life at the end of time, but not be sanctified
enough for the gift of witnessing the Wedding of the Lamb in Heaven. To those
not spiritually ready, it is even possible that they will be unable to
experience the Millennial Kingdom of Christ on the renewed, post Tribulation
Earth. This is the fate of the foolish virgins, who will soon be left behind to
suffer through the Great Tribulation unless they find enough Holy Spirit oil
for the spiritual lamps inside their hearts. Meanwhile, the wise virgins are
taken to Heaven because they have a deeply intimate prayer relationship with
Yahshua, and are fully sanctified by living a godly life in the Holy Spirit.
This will allow the wise virgins to be ready for the Wedding of the Lamb and
the Millennial Kingdom,
Though there are many other Scriptures
pointing to a Pre-Wrath Rapture, the ones listed above are some of the most
pertinent to proving that a Rapture or Harpazo of the Church is forthcoming
before the Tribulation becomes too severe, and before the Wrath of God begins to be poured ot at the opening of the Sixth Seal. These Scriptures also suggest that
the Rapture should actually be defined as Pre Wrath rather than Pre-Tribulation,
though the Pre-Tribulation view also has support in Scripture.
These are the primary Scriptures that
support the teaching of the Rapture. Please study yourself approved, read these
passages in your Bible, and ask God to reveal whether or not this teaching is
the truth to you. Coupled with study of these key Scriptures, open your eyes
and remember that all the birth pains of the Great Tribulation are now evident.
If in doubt, look to the heavens, particularly the Sun, which has been emitting
numerous and increasingly larger bursts of radiation called Coronal Mass
Ejections or CME’s that are contributing to the heating up of the surface of
the Earth, interfering with satellite communications, and causing severe
disturbances on the other planets and moons elsewhere in our Solar System,
particularly Jupiter and Saturn.
After looking at the heavens, turn your
eyes toward the numerous natural disasters on the Earth such as the long list
of mass animal, bird and fish deaths over the past two years. Couple that with
the severe weather, droughts, floods, tornadoes, water spouts, sink holes,
waters turning to blood, earthquakes in diverse places, volcanic eruptions,
calamities, spiritual unrest (such as in the rioting going on all over the
world, particularly in the Muslim nations), the increasing visible demonic
activity (such is in the cannibal attacks of the past year), diseases (such as
Swine Flu, Avian Flu, and West Nile Virus), and pestilences (such as widespread
insect and rodent pest explosions, and similar explosions in the diseases that
they carry), it is clear that Yahshua is coming soon for His Sanctified Bride -
a Bride that should be preparing to leave with Him as she anxiously awaits His
arrival, rather than hunkering down to survive the Apocalypse!
(UPDATE 5/3/2017 - The list above should now include the threat of ISIS and other Radical Muslim groups against the Christians living in Africa and the Middle East, the threat of World War III as a possible Nuclear War, as well the fact that many wars and rumors of wars are constantly being heard about in the news. Of these, the ongoing civil war in Syria has turned into a proxy war between NATO and the US versus Russia. This war has led to the fulfillment of Isaiah 17's prophecy of the End Time destruction of Damascus. In addition, NATO forces are now building up in Poland and other European nations bordering Russia in anticipation of a possible world war, or more appropriately the Ezekiel 38-39 War, with Russia fulfilling its role as Magog.
